the Environment › Climate Change
8>8 Personal answerI think the government should use some of the money they have now to research new, more long-term and environmentally safe alternatives to power. (because dams destroy echo systems, windmills murder birds, and sun panels only work in sunny areas and a lot are needed to generate enough power plus they need to be replaced faster than one would think thus resulting in more wasted materials and just how environmentally friendly is that?). Even though I support oil and gas, we should be looking to find echo friendly substitutes for oil based products (plastic, cell phone batteries, ect.) |
the Economy › Paid Sick Leave
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
8>8 Personal answerYes-ish. Marijuana has recently become a larger part of Canada after its legalization and thus I thing see why it should be criminalized. That being said, I can’t say the same for other substances. Especially when I have witnessed countless times of kids going to school absolutely out of it because they are doing Marijuana in school because it’s easier to access (especially when they can get a slightly older student or sibling to boot it for them). Plus they get so addicted to it that I have witnessed so many try other stuff too. So I think that we should de-criminalize this drug, BUT I think that it should be primarily given with medical prescriptions and for recreational use we should raise the age eligibility to 21 |

8>8 Personal answerI feel like kids should be raised not necessarily colour blind, but colour inclusive. Instead of a nice bliss they should have a positive and supportive environment. We should embrace all cultures and skin with open and curious minds. In order to do that you don’t want to make any one feel like their being misjudged or disadvantaged. But at the same time it is important to actually acknowledge the wrong doings of the past in order to learn and grow in the future. Everyone needs to take responsibility of their own individual actions (and not that of their forefathers) because change will never happen if we are stuck in the past. We need to build that change and learn to be better individuals that don’t ignore or discourage any colour, but be open to learning about other cultures. That means inevitably learning about everything that it took for them to stand today, even the bad parts. |
