Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
8>8 Personal answerNo, banning immigrants based on their religion is unconstitutional |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
8>8 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
8>8 Personal answerThe minimum wage was started to put a limit on how low to pay the young workers. In todays time, more and more single parents, senior citizens, and college students are working skilled jobs at minimum wage rates. Instead of raising minimum wage, we should reclassify what a minimum wage job is. Furthermore, we should establish minimum wage rates for different age groups, and have a tier system that classifies each job in tiers. Each tier's minimum rage should go up to the last tiers highest wage. Having 3-4 tiers in each age group would reduce the number of people at or under the poverty line, it will create better workers, and allow for less turn over. It will also reduce the number of unemployed workers. Jobs such as fast food, retail, gas station attendants etc, would be worked mainly by high school and college students, leaving more skilled jobs for working adults. |

College students should be counseled by the University and helped to communicate any special needs regarding PTSD or emotional issues and their professors made aware of those needs. Giving students coping skills is much more beneficial than a place to hide. |

Healthcare › Medicaid Work Requirement
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answerNot immediately. Once those programs are in place and operational, it will become apparent how much funding can be diverted by the reduction in calls requiring police response. Reduction in calls should correspond to a reduction in the needed police force, which can be addressed by not replacing officers as they leave or retire. Theoretically, through attrition, less funds would be needed for police. Police also need more extensive training, particularly in de-escalation. |
Crime › Solitary Confinement for Juveniles
8>8 Personal answerNo, but there should be strict guidelines for it's use, and used only in those instances when they are a danger to themselves or others. |

8>8 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Affirmative Action
8>8 Personal answerAffirmative action in the 70's only created more problems and an even greater racial divide, which is why it pretty much went away after about 10 years. We need to focus on the root of the issues, which is poverty and inadequate education. We need to level the playing field. |

8>8 Personal answerNo. But we need to really look at each case, why they are in prison, and whether the sentence was just. People in prison for crimes that are no longer crimes (such as possession of marijuana) should be released. |

8>8 Personal answerAs foreigners they are not entitled to constitutional rights. They should be treated humanely pursuant to international agreement. |
National Security › Military Congressional Approval
8>8 Personal answerIt depends on the situation. If it is an emergency situation, then yes the president should not have to authorize with congress but if there is enough time, then congress should authorize. It all depends on the circumstances at the moment in time. |

Education › School Truancy
8>8 Personal answerNo. Parents need to be held accountable for having their children in school. Children who are not in school, are not learning. If you want to reform our entire off balance system, instead of affirmative action, make sure children remain in school and get an excellent education! That being said, we need to make it possible for parents to make this happen. For those at-risk communities, after school programs, daycares, and athletics programs should be available at no cost to assist these communities. |
