the Economy › Universal Basic Income
JM>JM Personal answerConflicted...This could go either way. There would have to be stimulations on it. Would have to come up with rules and regulations to receive it. Such as, have to work certain amount per month to met the requirements. Can not be without a job for 6 weeks per calender year and so on. Should only be offered to those under a certain income bracket. If rules or requirements are not able to be set then no they shouldnt do this because a lot of people would misuse this opportunity benefiting no one in the end. But with the right guidelines this could help the economy giving low income families more money to spend on the family not all on bills. Money can be saved for college burial expenses new furniture necessary medical procedures put off due to lack of funds or family vacations. Money spend elsewhere in the world not just toward bills...causing economic growth |
the Economy › Welfare
JM>JM Personal answerSystem should provide a hardship assistance for those that dont qualify for benefits throughout the year. Based upon circumstances such as single person makes 2200 month therefore over max for benefits however the current or past month had medical procedure had to pay for out of pocket of 800 putting them under the maximum to receive help. Providing they can show proof of said unexpected expenses can receive benefits for a month or two to get them back on track.Or family that dont get help but their only car breaks down costing them 3500 to fix. They should be allowed help with food for a month or two if can show valid proof of expenses. Show monthly bank account transactions to show proof they didnt have funds to cover the expense or by doing so leaves family with no way to have food. Help those that are doing all they can to help themselves. Also agree that the system needs to supplement rather than replace working income. |
