Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Social › Abortion
5>5 Personal answerPro-life |
Social › Gay Marriage
5>5 Personal answerNo |
the Economy › Equal Pay
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Police Body Cameras
5>5 Personal answerI do not believe this should be a law .. .but it is COMMON SENSE these days for the protection of the officer ... and also to have camera/video rolling in the police car when a stop is made |
Social › Gender Identity
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Social › Religious Freedom Act
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
5>5 Personal answerYES and YES it is profiling but Profiling is how we solve cases many times. All immigration should be stopped for a while . IF we finally get a system where people can be proven as potential good citizens who want to live by our Constitution ... our laws and not sharia laws... they will be welcome. But we have work to do in this regard ! |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
5>5 Personal answerNo |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
5>5 Personal answerMinimum wage increases COSTs of living ... People need to learn to budget ... and to work their way into better jobs ... by respecting the work they have and improving themselves and their place of work. Not all areas need the same wages !! |
the Environment › Climate Change
5>5 Personal answerNo |
the Economy › Paid Sick Leave
5>5 Personal answerNo, private businesses should decide the amount of competitive incentives they offer to employees instead of a government mandate |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Term Limits
5>5 Personal answerOur Founding Fathers were wise in saying that you should serve 2 yr or 6 yr then go home again ... I agree with term limits ... serve maybe 3 terms in House and 2 terms in Senate. THEN go home and realize what the world really is .... Then after being a regular citizen, for a term or two ... run for election again . |
Foreign Policy › Mandatory Military Service
5>5 Personal answerI have heard that Israel requires 2 years military service after high school . I wonder if this doesn't make them more observant as "tsa" people ... more aware of what is happening around them ... more respectful ! |
Domestic Policy › Muslim Surveillance
5>5 Personal answerYES ...Police should be respected in Muslim communities .. but i understand that some Muslim communities use Sharia Law. IF they do not honor OUR Constitution .. our LAWs ... They should be have citizenship taken from them and returned to their Sharia homelands |
Immigration › Immigration
5>5 Personal answerOur immigration system should be changed to say that parents cannot come across the line ... and claim their newborns as citizens just because they were born here . I believe the 14th amendment was made for slaves who had no choice ... but now could choose to be citizens. I do not believe we should do a "round up" but whenever someone is found to be illegal, they should be sent home... as a family. Of course, this sounds mean .. so perhaps IF they have been working hard and obeying other laws ... we might be able to find a plan that can guide them to citizenship ...taking a back seat to others ... who have come legally. There has to be a way without sending kids to a place they have never known... but FIRST we have to SECURE the BORDERS |
Education › Student Loans
5>5 Personal answerFederal Government should not offer loans; Private companies should offer loans with a small interest plan ... and collect the loans...with a reasonable option for people who are not finding work right away. We need to get Feds out of Education... Colleges should take a look at PURDUE who has revamped spending ... and balanced the budget. All colleges should do this to make college affordable .. and parents would be wise to teach their children to WORK for education ! |
Social › Death Penalty
5>5 Personal answerYes, but only for horrific crimes with undeniable evidence |
Healthcare › Marijuana
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Social › Government Mandates
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Social › Confederate Flag
5>5 Personal answerYes, but only at historical monuments where it was originally flown |
Domestic Policy › No-Fly List Gun Control
5>5 Personal answerThe Constitution is for our protection..not for the protection of suspected terrorists. If someone is on the "no fly" list... they need to prove themselves innocent/safe. I agree this sounds like it is against "innocent until proven guilty" but do we want innocent until you kill 200 people ? |
Domestic Policy › NSA Domestic Surveillance
5>5 Personal answerOnly with a warrant showing probably cause of projected criminal activity.... or if someone is on the "no fly" list and needs to be watched.... yet a warrant for this . |
Domestic Policy › Gerrymandering
5>5 Personal answermake districts permanent. When people move a district may become smaller .. but another district larger... Let the peoples vote count... wherever they are. Ridiculous on the shapes of some districts ! |
Social › Women in Combat
5>5 Personal answerYes, as long as they can pass the same physical tests as men |
Immigration › Illegal Immigrant Detainment
5>5 Personal answerMinor crimes can lead to larger crimes and if they are here illegally ... this is enough reason to send them home ... |
Healthcare › Medicaid
5>5 Personal answerEach state should provide its own system .. Some have affordable plans for those just above the Medicaid level . A graduated program makes sense for low incomes. Medicaid already pays more for some people than the average American gets.... The governments role is to allow the private sector to increase jobs... so the government can decrease the number of people on Medicaid |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
5>5 Personal answerState level decision .. but also parental decision... sometimes a religious thing...SOME vaccinations can cause complications ... like autism .. Maybe given too early ... or maybe something in the vaccine that should not be . Those who believe that this does not cause autism .. perhaps should look at why autism has grown as we are giving more vaccines ? |
Immigration › Border Security
5>5 Personal answerMexicans crossing the border to work will come thru proper channels . Others should not be allowed to enter . We need stronger border control / fences / and freedom of Border Patrol to do their job. AND the feds should do their job in sending back illegals ! |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
5>5 Personal answerOf course not. Many come to our country and acquire proper credentials and work ... We cannot afford/ we do not have money to pay everything for everyone. they should never be allowed . AND they came illegally ! |
Social › Gender Workplace Diversity
5>5 Personal answerNo, board members should be the most qualified regardless of gender |
the Environment › Alternative Energy
5>5 Personal answerNo, end all tax credits and subsidies to the energy industry |
Elections › Voter Fraud
5>5 Personal answerAbsolutely ! We use ID for all kinds of things . Without picture ID , too many people are allowed to return to vote again under another name. If someone cannot get out of their house, they should have an absentee ballot sent to them....thus eliminating the need for ID... AND if they cannot get out of the house to get ID ....HOW will they get out to vote ! |
Immigration › Immigrant Laborers
5>5 Personal answerPerhaps a path to citizenship but should not put them ahead of others who came legally ... AND should not give them privillages until they are full citizens |
Domestic Policy › Patriot Act
5>5 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Government Spending
5>5 Personal answerWe need to improve our military TRAINING, training places and all military equipment and supplies. Also, veterans care !... BUT eliminate all unconstitutional agencies and non productive agencies. Change congressional health care to the same care we have ... And allow federal employees to pay into social security , but limit their 401K contributions ... Are pensions separate from 401 K ? Federal employees should not be leaving "service" with as much income as they rec'd when working . |
Immigration › Immigrant Assimilation
5>5 Personal answerYES they should learn English ... so they can become citizens ... All government documents should be in English . Someone said that Sweden does not require that you learn their language but in order to read their documents etc... you have to know their language ! |
Domestic Policy › Net Neutrality
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
5>5 Personal answerAbsolutely NOT. PEOPLE kill... Gun makers are not responsible for what the person does. The primary use of guns is for hunting and protection... Not for illegal use. |
Social › First Amendment
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Social › Euthanasia
5>5 Personal answerNo, but they should be allowed to refuse artificial life support |
Immigration › Skilled Immigrants
5>5 Personal answerGreed in America has college grads expecting wages that long time workers have...THERE is a thing about learning and starting at the bottom...and if companies can find foreign workers who appreciate what they are paid...that's ok... |
Domestic Policy › Affirmative Action
5>5 Personal answerMy husband had an affirmative action District Representative ... who was rude to the people he called on, always made the salespeople drive into Chicago rather than fly like he did ( which was more than 4 hours driving ) .. Took their fly miles when they did fly and was very offensive in restaurants etc. This man knew less than the people under him and should not have been hired to this position. SO NO .. Affirmative action should not be . However, if someone has the skills , knowledge, energy, diplomacy etc needed ... and is not hired ... then Yes... the business should be held accountable. This is often difficult, however, as some people just do not quite suit a position ... as another might. |
the Economy › Labor Unions
5>5 Personal answerI believe that Unions were good in the beginning as work conditions were horrid "in the old days" ... but unions have become corrupt and are not looking out for the people and "fair play" but working as political money makers. Often restricting people from working cohesively ... too many rules. |
the Economy › Capital Gains Tax
5>5 Personal answerAs part of our retirement we have mutuals etc... and not as much as we should have... so when taxes are increased on our capital gains, this really cuts into our profit / increase in cost of living income ! Keep a reasonable tax rate which will naturally pay more as capital gains amount is higher. |
the Environment › Oil Drilling
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
5>5 Personal answerIN STATE tuition ... ??? THEY are not even IN COUNTRY citizens ... NO ! They should not be allowed to enter college. It is the responsibility of their parents to bring them here legally |
Healthcare › Obamacare
5>5 Personal answerOur government cannot pay Medicare ... and prices have gone up on premiums for this and other insurance. GET back to private insurance ... but allow people to use their insurance anywhere. Should not allow a doctor's office / health facility. Advantage Plan needs to go . .as it PAYS the health facility above the charges |
the Economy › Overtime Pay
5>5 Personal answerGovernment is over regulating ... but corporations should themselves be reasonable in asking salaried people to do the work they are paid to do .... with reasonable time off and reasonable increase in bonus pay for weeks / hours overworked. |
Domestic Policy › Eminent Domain
5>5 Personal answerYes... for roads etc NOT for private businesses or other buildings ... and landowners should be given above market price. Afterall , they need to move to a place they may not want and have to start over . |
Foreign Policy › Torture
5>5 Personal answerWaterboarding was effective .. We should use whatever means we need within the guidelines, perhaps , of the Geneva Convention. Was this in effect in Korean War or WWII or Vietnam War ? Did our people receive such treatment ? YES ... enhanced interrogation is OK . The 8th amendment does not apply to non citizens ... or to any terrorists |
Science › GMO Labels
5>5 Personal answerI want to know ... what has been done to MY FOOD ??? LABEL GMO's and let me decide whether to feed it to my children. If GMO's are good for us... then tell us what we are eating. Organics are good for us and no one is afraid to label them. |
Domestic Policy › Social Security
5>5 Personal answerAdvancing the beginning of SS is ok with me... however, more importantly is the fact that Social Security should be spent for Retirement .. and perhaps for mentally or physically handicapped who are definitely not able to work. Also SS should increase with cost of living ... and should always cover the cost of Medicare insurance rather than having insurance raise and our payments not ! Food and gas prices went up but our president said that we had no cost of living increase .. Did HE get a raise ? |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
5>5 Personal answerNO ... Felons are criminals of high degree. However, there might be a reason to allow "small felons"... such as someone who only needed to serve a short 3 -4 year term. |
Foreign Policy › Terrorism
5>5 Personal answerThey are TERRORISTS not citizens. I have no idea why they should be tried anywhere. They were caught in battle .... and should be kept in Guantanamo Bay with no internet , TV, etc. Food should be adequate but not more than our soldiers get in the field.... and not according to their desires. Exercise is ok but not with weights and other equipment .. to make them strong. If they leave Guantanomo Bay, we really don't want them STRONG ! Koran maybe ... but would they allow our men and women to have bibles ? |
Foreign Policy › War on ISIS
5>5 Personal answerISIS has declared war on USA !! Does this not mean that we are at war ? If we do not do full attack , they will continue to grow and pop up in all countries ! This is no longer a middle east conflict. However, we need to work with UN or NATO ... This president has not listened to the Pentagon ... but minimizes his approach just enough to say ... I killed another leader with a drone .. So what ? Another leader takes his place |
the Economy › Federal Reserve
5>5 Personal answerI am not sure on this one...Not sure WHAT they do or WHY we have them ? I think that educating the public would be a good thing. But anyone handling our money should be held accountable ... so YES I believe that SOMEONE should audit them ! |
the Economy › Trans-Pacific Partnership
5>5 Personal answerFrom my reading s and your map showing % yes and no... I would say that the majority of Americans do NOT want this. It seems that there must be some hidden provisions that will benefit the "makers of the ttp" but not the people of the USA |
