Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
9>9 Personal answerPro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
9>9 Personal answerWith gun laws, I think the government should just enforce background checks, testing and training. It is important that the right to bear arms is protected but it is also important that people who are not fit or competent enough to wield and own a firearm are running about. They are dangerous and are more than capable of causing widespread catastrophe. |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
9>9 Personal answerYes, their services reach far beyond abortions and can save many lives through cancer screening, prenatal services, and adoption referrals |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
9>9 Personal answerInstead of having Teachers in particular having possession of firearms in schools, there should be a designated officer within the building responsible for such a task. Perhaps maybe a group or team of them. |
the Environment › Climate Change
9>9 Personal answerYes, and provide more incentives for alternative energy production |
Education › Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education
9>9 Personal answerNo, kids should be raised to be racially color blind instead of being taught they are inherently racist or disadvantaged based on the color of their skin |
Education › Free College for All
9>9 Personal answerNo, but provide more scholarship opportunities for low-income students |
Healthcare › Medicaid
9>9 Personal answerNo, and the federal government should not increase funding for any social programs |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
9>9 Personal answerI don't think they should have free access to healthcare as that money is coming out of somebody's pockets and at the same time I feel like having them just pay taxes is too lenient or not-so effective. Controversial topic and it might need some careful planning. However, I do think that the country of origin for these immigrants should largely be responsible for their healthcare and general well-being. It feels unfair for United States to be responsible for the well-being of somebody who illegally entered the country. |
Elections › Voter Fraud
9>9 Personal answerNo, and automatically register every citizen to vote when they turn 18 |
the Economy › Corporate Tax
9>9 Personal answerKeep current rates but eliminate deductions and loop holes |
Healthcare › COVID Employment Health Pass
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Border Wall
9>9 Personal answerThis depends on a plethora of important factors. If illegal border crossings are getting out of hand, then maybe the government should get involved and help to stem and control the flow of migrants coming into the country. I feel like the Mexican government should also feel obligated to help solve this problem by tackling the various issues that cause Mexicans to move to the U.S. I also don't think building a wall is really an effective way at controlling and stemming the flow of illegal entries into the country. Something like increased surveillance and an increased military presence could temporarily deter illegal entries. On that note, The Mexican government should also fund the necessary costs for the whole enhanced surveillance issue. |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerNo, increase funding and training for police departments in higher crime rate communities |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
9>9 Personal answerNo, only legal citizens should be allowed to vote |
Crime › Demilitarize the Police
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only in response to extreme situations |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
9>9 Personal answerI think that they should apply for citizenship. Past that, should they pay their taxes and follow the same obligations and requirements that a resident of the U.S. does, I don't think rates should be changed for them unless they are at a severe financial disadvantage caused by factors outside of their control. Other than that if it is a "regular" financial disadvantage, aid programs could probably help them out. |
Foreign Policy › United Nations
9>9 Personal answerYes, and use the U.N. peacekeeping forces to protect our interests |
Healthcare › Obamacare
9>9 Personal answerYes, I support a majority of the plan but not all aspects |
Elections › Electoral College
9>9 Personal answerNo, but reform so that votes are distributed proportionally instead of the current winner take all system |
Foreign Policy › Military Spending
9>9 Personal answerIncrease or decrease depending largely on current and nearby threats. |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerYes, and nationalize the industry |
Housing › Homeless Encampments
9>9 Personal answerNo, and make it a criminal offense |
Transportation › Public Transportation
9>9 Personal answerNo, I am satisfied with the current amount of spending |
the Environment › Plastic Product Ban
9>9 Personal answerNo, but increase tax incentives for companies that make biodegradable products |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only after completing their sentences and parole/probation |
National Security › Military Congressional Approval
9>9 Personal answerThis is circumstantial and probably depends on whether or not military force is absolutely necessary. Preemptive strikes and attacks on terrorist forces that have been proven to be a threat to national security and U.S. assets in any given region should be capable of being performed without congressional approval, as trying to seek approval could cause delay and therefore give the aforementioned terrorist group a chance to strike first or cause damage. |
Foreign Policy › Terrorism
9>9 Personal answerNo, they should be tried in military tribunals but not subject to torture |
the Environment › Paris Climate Agreement
9>9 Personal answerYes, until other countries are held to the same standards |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only if there is either undeniable evidence that they have either committed a terrorist attack or are planning to commit one against our country. I'm not so sure on the assassination ordeal but if it guarantees national security, then go for it. |
National Security › Mexican Drug Cartels
9>9 Personal answerI think this should be done but with caution and careful planning. Drug Cartels in Mexico are extremely violent and already put the civilian population at considerable risk, military intervention could exacerbate this but I don't think there is another alternative given that these Cartels are armed with weapons that can overpower conventional police forces. |
