Education › School Truancy
8>8 Personal answerIt can depend on the situation of the family. There are possible reasons a child may not be able to attend school, without the knowledge of the school board. These reasons may not be the child, or the parent's fault, and they shouldn't have to pay money, or do jail time for it. Instead, find other solutions to work with, and benefit the family. The government also shouldn't send a person to jail, or force them to pay money if they don't want an education. This can be argued that the child may not be able to determine what they want at a young age, but at least for a middle school/high school student, they should be able to determine how successful they would like to be in the near future. |
