Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
5>5 Personal answerPro-life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child |
Social › Gay Marriage
5>5 Personal answerNo, allow civil unions but don’t call it marriage |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
5>5 Personal answerHonor restrictions that are already there and mandatory background checks before permit is issued in all cases - no gun sold without proper permit. Ban assault weapons to private citizens unless they have a justified reason, approved by law enforcement. You will never keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists or disturbed individuals. But taking gun rights for the public will not resolved that problem. |
Crime › Police Body Cameras
5>5 Personal answerNo, it should be a police department’s or officer’s choice to wear one |
Healthcare › Drug Price Regulation
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
5>5 Personal answerYes, as long as funding is not used for abortion procedures |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
5>5 Personal answershould not be raised until economy can support it. Too many small businesses not able to afford increased expense (No give, w/ ACA rulings, something has to compromise.) Besides, who wants to pay $10 for a fast food hamburger? Will destroy job market for teens and some part-time workers. |
the Environment › Climate Change
5>5 Personal answerNo, provide more incentives for alternative energy production instead |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Education › Student Loans
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › Marijuana
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
5>5 Personal answerRegardless, this should be decided at the state level |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
5>5 Personal answerNo |
the Environment › Alternative Energy
5>5 Personal answerNot to them exclusively. Clean coal; gas exploration w/out fracturing; perform studies on financial benefits of wind power, id est, job creation, efficiency of turbines, cost to consumers . |
Elections › Campaign Finance
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Elections › Voter Fraud
5>5 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Government Spending
5>5 Personal answerAll the gov't. agencies need to be scrutinized to determine necessity, efficiency and not having more than one agency doing the same work. Also, I believe all federal workers need a wage DECREASE. The taxpayers cannot afford to pay all these people more money than they make themselves. Gov't. jobs are the highest paying jobs in our economy compared to private sector. Also, clean up SS disability claims; many are not worthy and are riding on the backs of hard working, struggling taxpayers. On the same note, I know several people who have worked hard only to have a disabling condition threaten their earning capability and be refused for disability benefits. Why do you have to hire an attorney to receive something that was intended for you? Too many worthless claims are honored when honest claims are denied. Same goes for Medicaid and welfare recipients. Guidelines for ADC - after the second child, you are on your own. AND mother should be required to name the father before any aid is given. With no other source of income outside of gov't. assistance, parent should be required to secure employment with assistance for childcare (which would create other jobs). |
Crime › Solitary Confinement for Juveniles
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Affirmative Action
5>5 Personal answerNot when it interferes with the best qualified person through testing, etc. Do we go into a black or Hispanic business and demand that they fire their black or Hispanic workers and replace them with whites.? Fair play? |
the Economy › Welfare Drug Testing
5>5 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
5>5 Personal answerThey should be required to achieve citizenship or on path to, before attending a US college. Not be eligible for scholarships or federal loan unless a naturalized citizen. |
Education › Common Core
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › Obamacare
5>5 Personal answerNo |
the Environment › Fracking
5>5 Personal answerNo, more research is needed to measure the long term effects of fracking |
Science › Nuclear Energy
5>5 Personal answerWhen it can be maintained safely. Three Mile Island and the earthquake in Japan should be warnings for an unstable source of energy. Also, too many times human error and the lack of responsible human oversight has, can and will cause disasters. |
Foreign Policy › Torture
5>5 Personal answerYes, but only as a last resort |
Science › GMO Labels
5>5 Personal answerInteresting question since Congress passed a law that vendors do not have to reveal where the meat marketed is coming from. I feel the GMO frenzy is a passing thing. For the time being, if it consoles those concerned, let the labels state 'GMO free'. If the issue is pushed, when people are paying $15 for a loaf of bread and it is in limited availability, I think they may adjust their stance. Even the gov't. has found no harm in GMO's. If you believe in evolution, you should not have a problem w/GMO. And, most important of all, this is how America is able to feed the world. Many of these are also the people who don't believe in vaccines. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
5>5 Personal answerNo |
Foreign Policy › Terrorism
5>5 Personal answerNo |
