You believe in seeking inner peace and personal growth through a deeper connection with a higher power or the universe.
Spirituality as a political ideology is a broad and complex concept that is not easily defined due to its diverse interpretations across different cultures and societies. However, it generally refers to a political perspective that emphasizes the importance of spiritual values and principles in shaping political decisions and policies. This ideology is often associated with a holistic worldview that seeks to integrate spiritual wisdom and practices into the political sphere to promote peace, justice, and ecological sustainability.

How might approaching social issues with a mindset of 'love your neighbor' transform public policy?
Maslow's hierarchy of need demonstrates that, until our basic needs are met, we cannot sustain higher levels of thought that include citizenship and empathy. Establishing a safe, just society is what will transform public policy, because it will transform us from survivors to fellow-citizens.
@9KQ5W6YRepublican2mos2MO
What our government lacks is empathy and compassion. Having empathy and compassion towards one another will help parties compromise and will increase the work that needs to be done.
@9KPBB3CIndependent2mos2MO
You aren’t basing it on who you like or know and who you don’t
@9KS5FFJLibertarian2mos2MO
On a large scale you can say you could pretty much feel neutral, but from country to country if you dislike each other then there is a major problem with future relations between those nations. This will further spread into further division when one tries to one up the other causing multiple parties having no unity.
@9KPBBSP2mos2MO
We would treat others how we would want to be treated. Less hate in our world.
@9KPB8FX2mos2MO
Well it might help people sit down and have an honest to goodness talk and listen to each other instead of screaming over each other.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How might the policy-making process change if active listening and empathy were required skills for all politicians?
I feel as though many policies would benefit lower income people.
@9JPBNW33mos3MO
With a sense of genuine empathy, we wouldn't have people up on thrones throwing pity at the poor, we'd have understanding and better-suited solutions and that's essential at this point.
@9JPB9FM3mos3MO
A politician without empathy or active listening skills would not listen to any other politicians, meaning they are not open-minded, why wouldn't I want someone open-minded running my country?
@9JP9LWY3mos3MO
Empathetic people are generally more open-minded and can connect with people who live different lives from them.
@9JP437W3mos3MO
I would just think it would be more complicated for politicians to run for bigger roles like president since there would be more required skills and knowledge.
@9JPDMY4Women’s Equality3mos3MO
It'd be harder for candidates to even try and be able to have the position they wish to have if there were standards that were set a little too high.
@9JP3PC3Independent3mos3MO
Well we could potentially see much more positive changes for you average American and maybe even other country citizens.
@9JP7NRP3mos3MO
Politicians would be able to relate to the people and think about the good of the country, not just power.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
What if the education system emphasized critical introspection alongside critical thinking; how would that shape the citizens of tomorrow?
@9KYXDJL2mos2MO
Religion is a construct made to help people cope with the idea of death
@9KYY6SRPeace and Freedom2mos2MO
It would shape them in a different ideology but keeping it critical.
@9KYXKGJ2mos2MO
It'll make citizens think more and actually use their brains.
@9KYXPZHPeace and Freedom2mos2MO
If everyone were to focus on themselves and their live without focusing on what others are doing and protect and focus on their peace and their life and not worrying about everyone else.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What might happen if policymakers considered the long-term spiritual wellbeing of a society along with economic growth?
@9K8RTV63mos3MO
They might consider the greediness and aggression of capitalism more, and how it affects the public mentally and spiritually.
@9KCR9522mos2MO
It could promote mental health a lot including just regular health. I think this could create a more fufilling and open compassionate society. Hate could be toned down a bit and people could speak their minds.
@9KCR57J2mos2MO
If policymakers considered the long-term spiritual wellbeing of a society along with economic growth, it could lead to a more balanced and sustainable approach to governance. By acknowledging the importance of spirituality in people's lives, policymakers could work towards creating a society that is not only economically prosperous but also spiritually fulfilled. This could include policies that promote mental health, social connections, and a sense of purpose. Additionally, it could lead to the recognition and preservation of cultural and spiritual traditions, which could help foster a sense of unity and national pride. Ultimately, by taking a holistic approach to governance that considers both material and spiritual needs, policymakers could create a society that is more resilient, harmonious, and fulfilling for all.
@9KCQLMCProgressive2mos2MO
that would probably turnout bad for the separation of church and state
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
How would our world change if global leaders cultivated and demonstrated genuine humility and selflessness?
They wouldn’t lie so much and government wouldn’t be so corrupt and all about power but about leading the country
@9KYW8JV2mos2MO
We would raise a new generation of a genuine and humane society
@9KYW7DJ2mos2MO
The world would be more open and there would be less hate and crimes around and in response to hate.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
If you were to base a political system on the golden rule, 'treat others as you want to be treated,' what would be the first law you'd propose?
@9KYY2CY2mos2MO
Treat other religions with respect and kindness while also giving the right to invite them and spread your personal religious views
@9KYXWC82mos2MO
if someone kills a member of your family you can kill them
@9KYXZJZ2mos2MO
100% I think that's such a good base standard to deal with
@9KYY5BR2mos2MO
Common courtesy in public spaces. Stores, parking lots, lines
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would our approach to immigration change if we truly embraced the belief that we are all part of a global family?
@9KDRMSPPeace and Freedom2mos2MO
It would change a lot of things in todays society such as war and border hoping
@9KF7QWZ2mos2MO
Everybody deserves a life in or out of the United States and if immigrants want to come to the United States I think that they should be able to.
@9KDRH9Q2mos2MO
it would be more accepting to change and make people feel welcomed
@9KFVQWDRepublican2mos2MO
People are not a global family everyone's different, everyone has a different culture. If you're gonna come into a certain country, it's best that you adapt and assimilate into the culture of that country.
@9KDSHPN2mos2MO
Ideas do not change because of religion, religion is warped by ideas
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
If you had to measure the success of a nation by the happiness and spiritual fulfillment of its people, what indicators would you use?
@9KDRRPV 2mos2MO
The amount of money being spent, the suicides rates.
@EnderKilgannon 2mos2MO
Suicide rates yes, but money spending is not happiness. I believe we need to go deeper than suicide rates but number of people going to therapy, counseling, and use anonymous reporting from mental health surveys sent out at random, counting refusals as possible ignoring a mental health issue.
@9KDS3MS2mos2MO
Their dedication to a specific practice of some sort.
@9KDRWMH2mos2MO
It is how it is and it doesn't bother me, the indicators and rates are what they are for a reason no prefernce or opinion on this
