I feel as though many policies would benefit lower income people.

With a sense of genuine empathy, we wouldn't have people up on thrones throwing pity at the poor, we'd have understanding and better-suited solutions and that's essential at this point.
@9JPB9FM4mos4MO
A politician without empathy or active listening skills would not listen to any other politicians, meaning they are not open-minded, why wouldn't I want someone open-minded running my country?
@9JP9LWY4mos4MO
Empathetic people are generally more open-minded and can connect with people who live different lives from them.
@9JP437W4mos4MO
I would just think it would be more complicated for politicians to run for bigger roles like president since there would be more required skills and knowledge.
@9JPDMY4Women’s Equality4mos4MO
It'd be harder for candidates to even try and be able to have the position they wish to have if there were standards that were set a little too high.
@9JP3PC3Independent4mos4MO
Well we could potentially see much more positive changes for you average American and maybe even other country citizens.
@9JP7NRP4mos4MO
Politicians would be able to relate to the people and think about the good of the country, not just power.
@hansen467 4mos4MO
It would be a great help, but seems difficult to test or verify those skills are being used in decision-making. Instead, #1. provide a mandated, standardized isidewith.com quiz to all candidates and office-holders to add voting clarity on the ideology and character of politicians. #2 set term-limits to 3-terms for all national non-president candidates to limit individual power/influence of one-mindset.
