America is far and away nearly impossible to invade, our citizens are all armed and we are geographically separated from any major power who could ever threaten us, its 99% certain that there will never be a land invasion of the United States.

Yeah, land invasion isn't what I'm worried about. Aerial strikes, cyber attacks and other attacks on telecommunications and electricity infrastructure and trade wars are a bigger concern. But I think our defense budget is sufficient for dealing with those although there might need to be some shifts in priorities and where money is being spent.

Any government spending stimulates the economy and spending strengthens our ability to fight wars and defend ourselves.

I agree with the people saying increase because why would we not increase? Let's bring this to an extreme situation. What if china or russia (In a few years of centuries) try to invade us? what would we do? we didn't invest and upgrade our gear and they have better things than us and were going to put up a fight and we get invaded. And they win because we didn't have enuf time and money to upgrade our equipment.

Why would we not increase the spending? Money is well spent with trainings, equipment, etc. Our country is protected highly by the military.

Part of the reason we have such massive debt is because trillions of dollars are given to the military when there is no immediate threat to our country.

We already spend too much on the military and we are not even in a war. We need to decrease the power we have over other countries and spend that money on our own country.

If they don’t they must be on some good stuff or just liberals without our military where it is in power and money we would be attacked by other countries thinking we are an easy target
