K-12 should be aware of the racist history and laws of the U.S, but they should also be taught about any reformations or bans that have happened to fix that. Kids should be aware of both sides of America's racist history and laws, so that they are not racially color blind, but also so that they do not live in fear of America due to any racist history, Kids need to know that America has and can change for the better.
