How do you interpret the saying 'respect your elders,' and is it relevant in today's world?
@9J258BQ4mos4MO
It is relevant, as most elderly people are wise and kind, although those same elders should be taught the new ways of today through family.

I agree with them being taught the new ways of today through family. However, most elderly people as of 2024 are bigoted, racist, and stuck in their ways of the past as it was 'acceptable' in the time. We should not be babying these ADULTS, that are making it seem like their age has given them wisdom and made them kind. Many only know about their time and nothing else beyond that, and many old people of today will spit, bite, or hit you if you do something they don't like and attempt to get away with it because they are old and you should respect them. Respect is a two way street, and you cannot earn it by being old and what you think is kind, especially if you think that the old ways when you were a child is still acceptable.
