I agree with this, instead of cutting down school shootings it just makes a way for more of them to happen by giving someone access to a weapon that's already on campus.

 @9FVVKZX from Kentucky agreed…7mos7MO

I agree. The school states there are no weapons allowed I think that should go for students and teachers regardless if they are licensed carriers. You never know someone's intentions.

 @9FV49LC from California agreed…7mos7MO

Teachers shouldn't be allowed to have gun at school because you never know if even the teachers are trustworthy enough. It's best to have a security guard who is trained and capable of being armed.

 @9FZSQ72 from California agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with the comment. I don't think having a firearm would be safe. If they want to have a firearm on campus they should hire a trained individual to handle it not a teacher, also kids could get hold of the gun or another faculty member. If they want to protect themselves hire a security guard or make the campus more secured.

 @9FV3559 from California agreed…7mos7MO

I feel like only professionals should be able to have them because what if a student takes it and goes bad.

 @9FV2GRS from Colorado agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this comment about armed teachers, the reason is that teachers should never be allowed to violate students into thinking that school is a bad place to be. In other words, school is supposed to help you learn specific skills that will help you in the future, so having a gun in school violates that rule causing students to do the same thing as their teachers. Also, the fact of having a gun at school can be dangerous and life-threatening. So, teachers should not have the right to wield a weapon/gun at school when there is no reason for there to be cause to use a gun.

 @9FWRSX6 from Virginia agreed…7mos7MO

I agree, as arming teachers does little to solve the problem of gun violence in schools. Introducing guns to schools could provoke students to try to access said guns. Having more School Resource Officers present in schools is a much better solution to the problem.

 @9FVCTKD from California agreed…7mos7MO

I agree because what if a teacher doesn't specifically like a student and they use the weapon to threaten and maybe kill the student. Also, what if they misjudge someone or mishear someone and make a mistake on using the gun when it was a complete misunderstanding.

 @9FV3LH7 from California agreed…7mos7MO

Arming teachers won't make our kids any safer.

Filling our schools with more weapons can only lead to one thing: guns falling into the wrong hands. Studies show people are much more likely to be shot, either by suicide, accident, or homicide, when guns are more readily available.

 @9FTRYQX from Pennsylvania agreed…7mos7MO

No, because it is unsafe because some people don't know on how to handle a gun and that's what makes me nervous.

 @9FX36XT from Indiana disagreed…7mos7MO

I think the teacher should have appropriate training and it shouldn’t be a known fact that that teacher possesses the gun

 @9FTR3NR from Connecticut disagreed…7mos7MO

when this idea is proposed its more like the pepole are asking for a armed person even if they dont carry the gun in a holster somthing like a built safe that only a registered and trained techer can accses or a security gaurd. the real issue pepole have with the current protection of students isnt that nobody is armed its that there is no need for a millataristic feel to school it shulde be for learning.

 @9FTSTG4 from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

This is wrong, the student should have 0 thoughts going through their head that they should steal the teachers weapon, They need to be taught that grabbing a weapon that is meant to protect you is the wrong thing.

 @9FTS49K from Illinois disagreed…7mos7MO

I think teachers should carry guns in a holster just to protect the students if anything happens like if there is a school shooter than they can be ready for anything that might be bad.

 @9FTQQ8P from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

Yes, Some teachers should be allowed guns but only the ones that have purchased a gun and know how to use it. They shouldn't give guns to every teacher only the ones trusted

 @9FTQMV6Republican from Texas disagreed…7mos7MO

They wouldn't be able to find it if it was locked away in a safe in all classrooms, teachers need to carry firearms in protection of the students in case of a shooting which happens more than it should.

 @9FTV2ZC from North Carolina disagreed…7mos7MO

Though your claim is relevant, I believe that under strict training and good practices, students won't be in danger. School shootings will decrease heavily and it will logically be beneficial for us.

 @9FWRX26 from California agreed…7mos7MO

I agree. Teachers with arms on school grounds will make students feel threatened- and gun conduct is a wide issue in the US right now. Guns will very rarely be used on school grounds as well.

 @9FTRMSN from Minnesota agreed…7mos7MO

I absolutely agree with this; giving the right to own guns for teachers will make the classroom environment unsafe and will distract students from learning. There are other more appropriate ways for teachers to defend themselves if they need too, and the school administration should find those ways to do so.

 @9FTQRQX from Pennsylvania agreed…7mos7MO

I feel like the techers should not have guns. I feel like this becuase i dont think most teacher are mature enough or even stable enough to own guns.

 @9FTQCQCPeace and Freedom from Michigan agreed…7mos7MO

I agree with this argument because any gun on school property can be known as a threat. It puts ty=he whole school in danger, and if known it could end up in the wrong hands.

 @9FV4KDQ from Colorado agreed…7mos7MO

I would say if there were arm teachers that would be too risky and if we don't follow a rule like " Don't wear hats!" and if we do it would be bad but we don't have armed teachers so that's good.

 @9FV7YFJ from California agreed…7mos7MO

pienso que no esta bien porque podria traer mucho terror en los adolecentes o algun pensamiento negativo.
