Literally every other nation proves that US gun laws are entirely ineffective. Additionally, what "tyranny" are you protecting yourself from..? The US is the tyranny...
And that's perfectly fine to have them, however their should be restrictions and protocol, I mean look around! Over the last month we have had 4 shootings and a case of police brutality broadcasted to the entire US! We have done way to little to crack down on our violence issues, and guns are not the answer to everything.

Hitler and Stalin only took guns away from Jews and political dissidents. It wasn't a general ban on specific types of weapons.

True for Hitler but not for Stalin. In 1938, Hitler signed into law regulations that required Germans to register their firearms and banned Jews from owning firearms. Stalin took the broad approach in 1929 and 1935 and made it difficult for all Soviet citizens to obtain firearms.
