Capital punishment can be an effective deterrent, however, the punished must be solidly and undeniably, unarguably, unequivocally guilty, convicted through a series of trials and evaluations of all evidence, however minor, with ample attempts to avoid death as a penalty. Death should be reserved for the most deadly criminals.
