“This does need a big fix, as I believe that it is a big contributor to the polarization in Congress, especially the House. I don't know that any of the options work. Something that would work is a third party. Not sure, but I believe that election laws in many states, and maybe nationally, make it difficult for third parties to break into the system. I think a reasonable third party would take enough votes from both sides to become the largest party.”
