Russia Launches Massive Attack In Northern Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has cancelled foreign trips as a Russian offensive in north-east Ukraine intensifies.

Russian forces have recaptured the symbolically important village of Rabotino in Zaporozhye Region, the Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

The territorial gain was achieved through military action against the Ukrainian forces in the region, in which the adversary lost up to 25 troops and a US-made M777 howitzer, the ministry’s update on the Ukraine conflict said.

Ukraine has pulled back troops from some areas in the border region.

But the Ukrainian military insis…  Read more

There are only two rational outcomes in this war, a Russian victory or a nuclear war. You can get to one of these outcomes today or ten years from now. It’s the same choice Ukranians had in 2014, 2022, today and ten years from now. Being a proxy for the west in a fight with your nuclear neighbor was never a good idea. Too bad the poor Ukranian people, not the corrupt elites, didnt have a democratic say in this.

 @PlayfulGerrymanderDemocrat from California agreed…2wks2W

Russia knows that nobody wins a nuclear war or they would have used their nukes already. If the Republicans hadn't folded to Putin, the battle would likely be a stalemate. And winning on the battlefield doesn't mean winning the war. Historically, occupying forces have rarely succeeded in the long run.

 @PassionateJurisdictionDemocrat from Michigan commented…2wks2W

I am increasingly troubled by the U.S. response. We seem able to send bombs to Israel whenever we want, while waffling and delaying on Ukraine.

 @KindSeafowlRepublican from New Jersey agreed…2wks2W

Not to mention we did not send what was needed in the beginning. Feeling like too little , too late.

 @CakeSavannahPatriot from North Carolina commented…2wks2W

I am confused. Biden said the weapons were all staged and ready to go into Ukraine.

What happened?

Also, I know we don’t support dictatorships, so when is the Ukraine election?

 @D3baterPearRepublican from Illinois commented…2wks2W

Joe Biden must lift restrictions on the use of US weapons to attack military targets inside Russia. Facing a dysfunctional Congress holding military aid for so long, lifting restrictions would have allowed Ukraine to attack supply lines inside Russia.

Pro-Putin Slovakian Prime Minister Shot In Assassination Attempt

Slovakia's pro-Putin prime minister Robert Fico has been shot in the stomach in an assassination attempt.

The politician, 59, is now in a life-threatening condition in hospital after he was attacked leaving a government meeting.

Four shots were fired - with one hitting populist leader Fico in the abdomen in the town of Handlova, some 100 miles northeast of Bratislava.

After receiving treatment in Handlova, the PM has now been airlifted to a hospital in the capital as transport to the city would take "too long", a government spokesperson said.

The incident took place in front of the local House of Culture, where the PM had come to meet with supporters.

The suspected assassin was filmed being overpowered and detained by security forces and bystanders.

 @SenateSeatSparrowAmerican Solidarity from Washington commented…2wks2W

This comes only days after Fico formally & publicly rejected The WHO Global Pandemic Accord

 @SeahorseBobbyPatriotfrom Pennsylvania commented…2wks2W

This is EXACTLY as the leaked German government documents said things would go down when they came out late last year.

This is the leadup to World War 3.

How can an individual wielding a firearm breach the security perimeter and approach a leader of a country in contemporary times? This undoubtedly indicates a significant lapse in security protocols.

 @RobustRiceAmerican Solidarity from Texas agreed…2wks2W

It is Slovakia politicians go to public without security often, this things simply never happed before in this country. Nobody carries guns like in US.

This is very first time someting like this happend.

 @CapitalistViperTranshumanist from California commented…2wks2W

Fico's opponents have labeled him a "Putin ally."

He is accused of leading a "pro-Russia" coalition in Europe, together with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Fico has promoted a "sovereign Slovak foreign policy" and refuses to provide military aid to Ukraine.

 @MusselTaylorLibertarianfrom New Hampshire commented…2wks2W

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out Ukraine was behind this.

Or other globalists who didn’t like how PM Fico was against open borders.

Things are starting to get very messy now.

Glad that it appears FICO will be OK.

 @L3gislatorJimmyGreen from Texas commented…2wks2W

Yea, this reeks of a CIA op. It will be interesting to see what happens at the hospital.

 @LeftLaneAvaNo Labels from California commented…2wks2W

During Covid Slovakia was insane, I was there. Full nazi lockdowns vaccine police state.

The Government changed and swung back to sanity under Fico.

Fico rejected the WHO global pandemic accord.

Fico was also anti Ukraine war calling for peace.

The enemies of truth no longer hide their intentions.

They have abandoned the shadows for force.

People do not seem to realize that this is a global move. The UN has been talking about moving to a one world government for a long time. The US is signed on. And there are certain things that you need to have absolute iron control over in order to control the population of the world. Healthcare is one of them. they done pretty damn good with media control.

Netanyahu says Israel isn't a "vassal state" of the U.S.

A day after President Biden warned Israel that a major attack on Rafah would cross a "red line" for U.S. support, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on a rant during a meeting with his security cabinet.

"We are not a vassal state of the United States!" he declared, according to three people with knowledge of his remarks, including one of Netanyahu's aides.

Netanyahu's hot reaction last Thursday reflected his combative mood at a time when Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza has strained its relationship with the U.S.

U.S. Drug Overdose Deaths Decline For First Time In Decade

The U.S. saw a slight decline in the number of new overdose deaths last year, marking a rare improvement in a still-raging national fentanyl crisis, preliminary federal data show.

There were about 107,500 overdose deaths in 2023, down 3% from the year before and the first decline in five years, according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One factor was fewer deaths pegged to opioids including the nation’s deadliest drug, the potent synthetic fentanyl, the CDC’s preliminary numbers show.

The U.S. has struggled to stop a relentless increase in drug-ov…  Read more

I could care less about the death rates for drug addicts (its always been high) but I do care about the crushing blow such deaths must bring to the families. When they dig us up they will ask why did our families fell apart, why the deep division in our nation, why the abandonment of religion and how could drugs become a leading cause of death among the young. I will leave the answers to those questions for future generations. We seem impervious to any true reckoning much less remediation.

They did it with Covid and crime stats, why not drug deaths?

The US lost about 400,000 people in WWII, in 3 years and 8 months of fighting. A bit over 100,000 per year.

Biden's open borders, his partnership with China, his partnership with the Drug Cartels that control the border -- has Killed more Americans than the Empire of Japan and The Third Reich combined.

So go re watch Saving Private Ryan, and remember: the Democrats did more harm to Americans, and they are still doing it today and tomorrow.

I'd like to see the number of Fentanyl OD's saved by Narcan. That's the reason OD deaths seem to have dropped. Still too many OD's but less deaths. We have to address the drug problem totally.

RFK Jr.’s Threat to Trump

November’s election may be decided by whose definition of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. voters find most persuasive.

No one really knows which of his rivals Mr. Kennedy’s candidacy will hurt more. Mr. Biden sees Mr. Kennedy as possibly reprising the role played by the Green Party’s Jill Stein in 2016. Her vote totals were slim—in Pennsylvania she received 0.82%, in Michigan 1.07%, in Wisconsin 1.04%—but had her votes gone instead to Hillary Clinton, Mr. Trump wouldn’t have been president.

With Mr. Kennedy polling today in the low double digits, Mr. Biden is taking…  Read more

I disagree. This is not 1992 when Perot definitely took votes from Bush. RFK Jr. is very, very liberal and his position on gun control and the environment (although he has tacked right on that recently) will not go over well with R voters IMO.

 @CrushedYearlyPeace and Freedom from New Jersey commented…2wks2W

1992 was still a time when most Americans voted based on issues. No longer. Most Americans today vote based on tribal identification. Can you think of any other possible reason to vote for Biden?

 @TwoPartyBertLibertarian from Missouri commented…2wks2W

If RFK Junior is so unimportant to the outcome of the election, why have the Democrats pulled so many strings to keep him off Blue state ballots?

 @MackerelDeanWomen’s Equality from Oregon agreed…2wks2W

I am glad to see Kennedy run as a third party candidate. It's a shame Democrat voters were not given a choice when he was forced from the party by the DNC rigging of the primary.

Biden Offers To Debate Trump In June Without RFK Jr.

President Biden is willing to debate former President Donald J. Trump at least twice before the election, and as early as June.

Mr. Biden and his top aides want the debates to start much sooner than the dates proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates, so voters can see the two candidates side by side well before early voting begins in September.

They want the debate to occur inside a TV studio, with microphones that automatically cut off when a speaker’s time limit elapses. And they want it to be just the two candidates and the moderator — without the raucous in-person aud…  Read more

 @PanickyDemocracyRepublican from Arizona disagreed…2wks2W

No, basically they want them to be actual debates, not uncontrolled Trump rants.

 @SimilarBaboonRepublicanfrom Michigan disagreed…2wks2W

Not really, the main criteria are no audience, mic cutting off after time and the moderator has to be from one of the major broadcast networks. Not sure how that equals wanting no debates.

 @PlatypusEdLibertarianfrom Tennessee commented…2wks2W

So Biden wants 2 debates instead of the traditional 3 and also wants them much earlier, which makes them less impactful? It's consistent with his strategic incentives, which are that he can't be seen as ducking debates but he's not particularly confident he'll win.

Trump responds:

$320M US military Gaza Aid pier to open for business

A trident pier the length of five football fields is being anchored to the Gaza coast. Humanitarian aid will be dropped off there via ships from the floating pier, also built by the U.S. military, two miles off the coast. According to the Pentagon, two Navy warships will be protecting the floating pier and the sea bound transfer of the aid.

Some 1,000 U.S. service members are engaged in the project, which is costing an estimated $320 million for the first three months. U.S. personnel are not supposed to be going "on the ground" in Gaza at any time.
