Eric Adams suggested on MSNBC the Columbia protests may have an "international" connection: "I don't know if they're international, I think we need to look into that as well, but there's an attempt to radicalize young people in this country."
He didn't say what he's basing this on.
On CBS, Adams again declines to identify the "outside" individuals or groups he says participated in the Columbia protests. He does say: "It's not singular, it's plural, several organizations and groups, I want to be clear on that, we did not take this action lightly."
Imagine if pro-Palestine protestors physically assaulted Jewish students in the same exact way that pro-Israel protestors attacked the students at UCLA last night? The national guard and every cop in California would come down on them. They'd be called terrorists by everyone in media and peace protests all across the country would be shut down. And every objective person knows this is true.
So, will LA do anything about the violent thugs who attacked those students last night or is their lawlessness in America now, where if you are on Israel's side, you can just commit violence on anyone you like?
@L1beralLouDemocrat2wks2W
Pro-Israel protestors wouldn't bar students from entering campus.
@LeftLeaningClaireGreen2wks2W
Eric Adams, like almost every corporate politician in the US, has an israeli connection international connection of his own
@ClamFrankWorking Family2wks2W
If every American isn’t pro-Israel and pro-Jewish control over our lives & pro- “Muslims are terrorists” then we’re being radicalized?
Let’s check all these pro-Israeli advocate’s bank accounts and let’s see some radicalization.
@XenialImpalaSocialist2wks2W
Yes, it's called the international community being appalled by the genocide happening in Palestine.
@9M274ZJ2wks2W
The people protesting are connected through internet, they see what everyone sees and isn't afraid to speak upon it
@L1bertyLouieGreen2wks2W
Gotta hand to NYC you looked hard at youselves and decided to elect a mayor worse than Rudy.
@ISIDEWITH2wks2W
If it were true that international groups influence college protests, what implications does that have on your view of free speech and activism?
@ISIDEWITH2wks2W
Does believing that protests could be connected to outside forces change your view on the right to protest?
@9M28RKT 2wks2W
No, US citizens have the right to protest anything they think their government should be doing differently even if it's for causes outside of the US.
