First let’s acknowledge that Indonesia is already lagging behind the U.S. on social freedoms which may work for them, it’s a different culture. It is commendable that they are working toward more freedoms, unity and freedom of press. I think it would be great to emphasize unity and freedom of press in the U.S. the press should be free to question an action or stance without personal preconceptions of the subject and receive the most accurate answer available. A respected member of the press shows restraint and understanding that others have a different set of skills than them to determine a course of action. While they may press for deeper understanding, a person involved with the press is rarely an expert on all things. If they admitted this and took the power of their voice seriously in the entertainment industry we would all benefit. They would certainly unify our people with intelligent debate rather than divide them with personal feelings and thoughts that rarely capture reality.
