those drones are really cheap [by governments wasting money on war standards, that is,] and are partially to waste/occupy AD etc, but the point definitely stands about the nicer/more expensive missiles

Isnt in unknown if they actually have them? I was thinking also though that missiles do expire, though one would imagine most components are recyclable

I’m definitely no expert on any of it. Seems like there is a a 3rd possibility between performative and causing maximal damage which is to test capabilities

Iran is estimated to have around 3,000 ballistic missiles and is estimated to have fired around 120 of them in the attack. So not really dipping deep into the stockpile.
