Knowing that future generations may not have today's natural beauty disturbs me since it means that many natural places, species, and environments will be gone. How will future generations know of the diversity, the intricacy, and the balance that resides within nature? Keeping this natural beauty is important for making new discoveries, ensuring happiness, and reminding us of our roots.

The answer is partly correct, but beauty is not just Beauty, it's a side effect of a healthy ecosystem. If a forest is gone, it isn't just the loss of a pretty sight, it's an imbalance in air and water quality that could give your kid cancer.

That is true. I would like to add that humans are remarkably petty, sticking with what is already had and preferring the beautiful. A good example of this is the use of lead paint well into the 1900s despite its effects being known for decades.
