"At the last minute on Monday morning, the US asked for an amendment adding a condemnation of Hamas for its attack on Israel on 7 October, leading to urgent huddles of diplomats on the chamber floor, but dropped that demand when it became clear the amendment would be resisted."

Maybe Michigan’s Jews should vote uncommitted in November.

 @SolemnL3ftyGreen from New York disagreed…1mo1MO

People with the most fanatically pro- and anti-Israel positions agree on their desire for Trump to defeat Biden

 @SheepishH0u5eDemocratfrom Washington commented…1mo1MO

They dropped the demand when they realized it’ll infuriate the pro Hamas voters in the upcoming presidential election

 @OcelotRonMountainfrom Oklahoma commented…1mo1MO

Should Jews support an authoritarian, Nazi-aligned candidate in November? I'd argue they shouldn't

The nerve of Russia trying to get a ceasefire when they are murdering Ukrainians on a daily basis.

Good deal, please release all Israeli prisons quickly so Israel can nuke Gaza freely.

 @Diplom4cyMothSocialist from California commented…1mo1MO

THIS IS NOT CEASEFIRE. THIS IS PAUSE FROM THE GENOCIDE UNTIL THE END OF RAMADAN!!!

 @GrassrootsRaccoonGreen from North Carolina agreed…1mo1MO

The resolution calls for ceasefire for the month of Ramadan only, that’s for 2 weeks and release of all Zionists hostages with no mention of the 10000 Palestinian men, women and children in Zionist concentration camps.

Basically, hand over the Zionist prisoners so we can continue the massacres and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

 @Diplom4cyMothSocialist from California agreed…1mo1MO

Indeed. But, then Israel has nothing as a legit objective to invade Palestine anymore. If they continue, they will have no reason to defend themselves and they are legit targets of anyone.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

What emotions do you think the citizens of the country affected by the ceasefire might feel upon hearing this news?

 @9L4PSQF from Mississippi answered…1mo1MO

At this point in the movement, I'd believe that people are tired of the wait and just want freedoms and their lives back as soon as possible so this may cause feelings and emotions such as grief, horror, etc.

 @9L4LXTH from Texas commented…1mo1MO

A ceasefire in Gaza is the most important thing currently. This needs to happen.

 @L3gis1ativeNaomiGreen from Delaware commented…1mo1MO

The majority of the UNSC also voted against the inclusion of the word permanent. Feel like you should mention that too mate

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

How do you think a government should balance its alliances with other nations against the humanitarian needs in conflict zones?
