How important is it for indigenous communities to have representation in government and other decision-making bodies?

My opinion is stay as is. The native populations in the US are US CITIZENS both in the USA and in their tribal communities and reservations, therfore they can run for office and VOTE the same as any other US citizen

very; it's not about equality, it's equity. a good place to start can be to stop misrepresenting/whitewashing radical poc revoltionaries.
