It would be much more difficult to get our daily goods such as eggs or milk which would generally be a nuisance to society. This is not the only circumstance though as when it comes to zoo animals there should be more protection in place. I think a good common ground is increased animal rights for zoo/privately owned animals but the same for farm animals.
