I believe that Israel’s military has generally done a good job attempting to play by international rules in its most recent armed conflict and that one of the biggest reasons civilians have been and continue to be killed is that Hamas deliberately puts itself in population-heavy centers, then attempts to obfuscate and threaten reporting to portray itself as the victim and / or as democratically elected. That said, I don’t think Israel’s government has always taken the most empathetic or fair foreign policy approach and feel that the plight of common people on both sides of this war are getting left out, both in the international media and in both governments, especially Palestine’s.
