I feel like no one should be force to learn about a religion but the people that want to know and learn should be able too.

No, because not everyone in the government and citizens have the same beliefs. Everyone is entitled to their own religious beliefs, and it is unfair if people's governments are based off of just one belief. For Muslim people, having a Christian ran government won't be beneficial to them.
