The thing inside the uterus, whatever the hell it is, is biologically alive, genetically distinct from whoever's carrying it, and will grow up to be a human being. Removing it at any stage is denying it the chance to grow into a human.

If that "thing" is alive, why don't we consider it a person until it's born and why don't we count them in censuses?
