The pregnant person should ALWAYS have the right to choose, regardless of the situation, but especially deserves the right to abortion in the case of rape.

 @9GQQBWVDemocrat from California disagreed…6mos6MO

It should first and foremost be the mother's choice. If she does not want or did not plan for a baby, then she should not be forced to carry it to term. Being financially stable does not mean you are prepared for or want a child.

 @9GR8XN7 from Iowa disagreed…6mos6MO

The mother should be able to decide to keep or abort the baby, regardless of her financial situation

 @9GQQQ6V from North Carolina disagreed…6mos6MO

Its the womens decision on what she wants done to her body if it was or wasn't a cases of rape and incest .

 @9GR8LMJ from Michigan disagreed…6mos6MO

Even if a mother is financially stable, that does not cover whether or not they would be able to support a child mentally, are in a safe situation to have a child, even want a child, or if having that child would cause bodily harm to the mother and/or the child (to the point of seriously impacting its life, possibly even dying mere minutes after birth). Abortion should be fully and completely legal with free, safe access for anyone who may need it.

 @9GTDRN3 from Minnesota disagreed…6mos6MO

No woman should ever be forced to give birth or carry on with a pregnancy, especially not in cases where rape and incest are the cause of it. It doesn't matter the financial position of the woman.

 @9GR3MPG from California disagreed…6mos6MO

Humans have the right to their bodies and they can do whatever they wish with it. Would a woman want a constant reminder of the traumatic event? If they don't choose it for themselves, then it is infringing on those rights.

 @9GS8SXV from New York disagreed…6mos6MO

The Mother has the right to choice what happens to the baby in her own body, period. ... whether impregnated by rape, incest, or otherwise. It is her own free will to make the decision, regardless of her financial position. The financial capability to raise a child is not an independent factor to undergoing a procedure for abortion.
There are multiple MEDICAL FACTORS that can ultimately lead to the decision of abortion, at any point in the pregnancy, that need to be considered well beyond the "who" or the "how" the baby was conceived.
It is a private medical decision, and should never be hindered or threatened in any way by the government.

 @9GQSFJQPeace and Freedom  from West Virginia disagreed…6mos6MO

It's not just based on financial stability, what if the mother is not emotionally or mentally fit to raise a child? It should be the woman's choice.

 @9GQYF6VDemocrat from California disagreed…6mos6MO

it's not a question of finances, if the mother does not want the child, it's her choice and her choice alone.

 @9GVMQMN from Mississippi disagreed…6mos6MO

Cases where a female has been harassed and sexually assaulted or any form of misogynist assault, the female will be allowed to CHOOSE whether to abort.

 @9GXQ8DMWomen’s Equality from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

Its her choice and most likely if she wants to abort the baby she should at least be able to do it safely

 @9GS2QJL from California disagreed…6mos6MO

Having a child could take the financial stablility and take it away, especially if unanticipated births occur such as twins or triplets. Financial stability is not the only issue to be considered for a possible mother; mental, emotional, and physical health are as, if not more, important.

 @9GYHKMZ from California disagreed…6mos6MO

If rape occurs violation of personal rights has occurred and the woman should handle it however she wishes without any interference.

 @9GTG54Q  from South Carolina disagreed…6mos6MO

It is unlawful to force someone into bringing another life into this world. By forcing a woman to carry out and unwanted pregnancy, you take away the basis on which this country was built upon. Banning abortion will only set grounds for unsafe abortion. Before birth, the "baby" is a clump of cells.

 @9GZW436 from Washington D.C. disagreed…5mos5MO

No living person should be forced to carry a child to term, especially in cases of rape or incest. The trauma from each of those scenarios would be overwhelming for anyone to have to live through.

 @9GVX8S7 from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

I agree with it, if the mother is raped or the pregnancy is product of incest the mother should have the option to abort, but if the mother is pregnancy and financially stable she should have to go through with the pregnancy unless there are health reason as to why not follow through with the pregnancy.

 @9GRHV48 from California disagreed…6mos6MO

no because noone should be forced into parenthood and/or birth. That is not fair for the mother or for the child.

 @9H2RYGX from Oregon disagreed…5mos5MO

In all cases of pregnancy. The person carrying the child should make the decision. Financial stability is not the main factor in raising a child.

 @9GX5TP4Democratdisagreed…6mos6MO

The baby grows inside of the women, she should be able to decide if she is capable and willing to have this child. Some mothers cannot mentally raise their children which has nothing to do with financial stability.

 @9GT5YSM from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

This is an incredibly black and white viewpoint on the issue, what if the mother is financially stable but not medically stable? There are too many if/then scenarios to be able to piece together a case by case basis

 @9GSZ5B8Progressive from Colorado disagreed…6mos6MO

Mothers have the right to bodily autonomy. If they wish to have an abortion, for any reason, they should be allowed to have access to this healthcare. That isn't to say that a month before the baby is due the mother should be allowed to have an abortion, that is sick and cruel. But if the life of the mother depends on an abortion, or if she is looking for this healthcare it should be provided.

 @9GS6PWBdisagreed…6mos6MO

Nobody should be required to have a child under any circumstance. The choice should never be someones elses.

 @9GRRJ3N from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

In cases of rape and incest, the mother should not be forced to give birth to the baby even if they are financially stable. The mother may not be ready mentally and will have to carry around the trauma of what happened for the rest of her life.

 @9GRHKTV from Ohio disagreed…6mos6MO

Even if the mother is financially stable she shouldn't be forced to have a child because she doesn't want

 @9GQRZGP from New York disagreed…6mos6MO

a majority of rape victims are children and those births can rip them in two. plus, even if they were adults, who would want to bring a child into the world that stems from something so traumatic? same goes for incest.

 @9GQRXL6 from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

It's not fair to the child to be unwanted, and it's not fair to the mother who may be financially stable but not socially stable. If the child isn't viable then it isn't fair to the mother to force her to carry something physically, mentally, and financially draining if it needs her on a physical level to live.

 @9GQPVN4 from Idaho disagreed…6mos6MO

Cases of rape and incest are horrific and disgusting and should result in however the mother wishes, financially stable or not.

 @9GQMS8Hdisagreed…6mos6MO

I believe the mother should choose even if she is financially stable it doesn't matter if she wants to baby then she should keep it but if she doesn't want it because of the physical trauma she went through she shouldn't have it.

 @9GQMCJPWomen’s Equality from Texas disagreed…6mos6MO

If the mother is financially stable but not mentally capable or emotionally capable to raise a child she should have a right to choose what to do with her pregnancy.

 @9GVYPJZWomen’s Equality from Colorado disagreed…6mos6MO

No, I believe that if a mother wants to get an abortion due to rape, no matter the circumstances, they should have that right.

 @9GVHBKW from Virginia disagreed…6mos6MO

Not all women who are financially stable are ready for a baby, they should therefore be given a choice.

 @9GS47RKPeace and Freedom from California disagreed…6mos6MO

The problem with abortion is not about if the mother is financially stable. It is about who has rights over a woman's body and financial stability should not be a major factor of abortion.

 @9GX79LX from Georgia disagreed…6mos6MO

it is the mothers body, she should be allowed to terminate the fetus if she feels for any reason she does not want to have it, you cant make decision for other people

 @9GRGNND from Florida disagreed…6mos6MO

My best counter argument is that if you will force this child to be born, you better be willing to adopt it. Or force the father to remain an active figure in this child’s life and pay for it accordingly.

 @9GQRXPB from Massachusetts disagreed…6mos6MO

If you have an experience with Rape and insest, you should have the ability to have an abortion, otherwise it is up tp the person.

 @9GQMZ2D  from Connecticut disagreed…6mos6MO

Financial status should not determine whether or not someone should have a baby. This discounts mental health, physical health, rising costs of living, life changes, and places blame on people who have sex by saying "you should have known what you were getting into by having sex."

 @9GQMSJY from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

I think it is the womens choice what she wants to do no matter the situation. If the father is in the picture he should have a say as well.

 @9GYHG8M from California disagreed…6mos6MO

Even if the mother is financially stable, she may not be ready to take care of a baby at that time in her life.

 @9GXK43G from Arkansas disagreed…6mos6MO

I think that the person that is pregnant should get the right to choose whether to have the child or not no matter the situation.

 @9GV9ZL7 from Indiana disagreed…6mos6MO

Financial stability would not mean that baby gets a good life, and it definitely does not mean the mother would lead a good life with a child she doesn't want.

 @9GRTPKDDemocrat from Michigan disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortions should be the mother's choice no matter the situation because the mother is the one who is conceiving the baby for 9 months, no one else.

 @9GY8Q6RPeace and Freedomdisagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is a decision that the mother (and father) get to decide on. certain specific factors should have a role in the determination of the baby's birth or not

 @9GZB85NRepublican from Indiana commented…5mos5MO

I agree with the rape and incest, if the mother wants an abortion she should be allowed no matter if she is stable or not.

 @9GSBNZB from Missouri agreed…6mos6MO

I don't agree with this because even if the mother is financially stable and she has been raped or in a case of incest and she does not want the baby then she should be able to get rid of it.

 @9GQNDCD from Arizona agreed…6mos6MO

Women should have a choice to either keep their baby or have a abortion it is not anybody’s else’s choice or business in case it was rape or incest they should report it to a police and make a choice to either keep their child or have a abortion if they are not ready or uncomfortable to have a child with someone who rape or incest them or etc

 @9GQQWQX from Illinois disagreed…6mos6MO

Rape and incest should result in abortion, however if two partners are not using protection and end up pregnant, the baby should not have to deal with the consequences for the partners not being responsible

 @9GQZN5L from Connecticut disagreed…6mos6MO

I agree. If someone has the means to support the child they were careless enough to create, they should have to keep it.

 @9GQMHGKCommunistfrom Maine disagreed…6mos6MO

You can not force someone to donate their body for any reason. If you put someone else in the position of needing a liver or they would die you would still never be forced to give them your liver, that would be illegal.

 @9GS8N34 from North Carolina disagreed…6mos6MO

Only under the circumstances of if the mother is financially stable and willing to have the baby/and or give it up for adoption should it be born. Financial stability doesn’t necessarily mean a child will be better off.
