Dialogue should always be the first line of approach, and history has proven its effectiveness. The Cold War, for instance, was marked by years of tension and the threat of nuclear annihilation, but it was ultimately resolved through persistent negotiations and diplomacy, not warfare. This shows that, even in the most dire of circumstances, dialogues can lead to resolutions. How can we encourage more of this diplomacy-first approach in contemporary conflicts?
