Do you support increasing taxes for the rich in order to reduce interest rates for student loans?
Yes, and increase government funding so every student receives a free college education
I don't believe in free College. College is already expensive enough as it is. And I firmly believe…
However, the key argument for free college is about accessibility and equal opportunity. It's not about diminishing the value of a degree, but about leveling the playing field so that more people have the chance to earn that accomplishment.
Consider countries like Germany and Norway, where higher education is essentially free. These countries still have rigorous academic standards and their degrees are highly valued globally. The accomplishment isn't in being able to afford education, but in successfully completing it.
What if we looked at it from the perspective of high school education? It's free, yet when a student graduates, we still celebrate their accomplishment. Could the same not apply to college education? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
