While it's true that the US and other western countries supported Ukraine's shift towards a more Western-oriented government, it's important to note that this doesn't equate to provoking conflict. The root of the conflict lies in historical tensions and territorial disputes between Russia and Ukraine.

For instance, take the annexation of Crimea in 2014. This was a direct action taken by Russia, not something instigated by the US.

Diplomacy should always be the first line of defense in resolving international disputes. But when diplomacy fails, should we let countries infringe upon the sovereignty of others without any repercussions?
