Wow, he doesn’t back down when the media confronts him like some other Republicans.

Those same Republicans are more offended over a meme about the radical trans agenda than they are over the actual agenda though.

Ron DeSantis doesn't back down because he has genuine Conservative convictions and he knows the issues! He's not basing anything on polls or what is politically expedient.

I love Ron! I read his book and he is the best candidate for president, he'll save our country! Trump just needs to piss off and let the true Republican win!

 @UnanimousPorpoise from California commented…10mos10MO

As for Trump, I guess only time will tell if he'll pass the baton or try another sprint (after he loses to Desantis.)

 @CleverDemocracyRepublican from Florida commented…10mos10MO

Sure. Fair game.

As much as we hate the trans movement, this stuff just doesn't stick to Trump and the fact DeSantis and his team thinks it does, means they're going to lose. Bigly.

DeSantis will not loose. On 23 August, at the debate stage, Trump's going to loose SO MANY votes when DeSantis CRUSHES HIM. I will be drinking my tea and eating my popcorn as I watch. This is going to be hilarious.

 @CleverDemocracyRepublican from Florida disagreed…10mos10MO

Desantis is so boring! He can only talk about his Florida record so much.

Cant wait for the debate!

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…10mos10MO

It could just be me, the stupid old ding-dong who thinks DeSantis is better than your idol Trump, but maybe he talks about Florida so much BECAUSE HE'S THE FREAKING GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA!

 @PoliticalChameleon from Indiana agreed…10mos10MO

Apparently it’s also fair game to clip Trump’s speech that directly followed the Pulse nightclub shooting to imply somehow that the words “we will protect lgbt” is a radical statement. As if Trump should have said anything different at that time.

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…10mos10MO

He should have said something different. He should have said "we will uphold the rule of law," because it doesn't matter that they were "lgbtq" it matters that there was a lawless crime. That's what he should have said.

 @CleverDemocracyRepublican from Florida disagreed…10mos10MO

I'd argue that acknowledging the LGBTQ+ community in the aftermath of the Pulse nightclub shooting was vital. It wasn't just a matter of upholding the law, it was a targeted hate crime against a specific community. By saying "we will protect LGBT," Trump recognized the specific group that was under attack. It's the same as when a racially motivated crime occurs, leaders don't just say "we will uphold the law," they specifically address the group that was targeted.

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…10mos10MO

Well you'd argue wrong. And he could have also said, "while we condemn the abomination of sodomy, we shall not allow these lawless attacks to continue."

If Ron would lose his team, and just be Ron. He is a winner by himself. I love his quirks.

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…10mos10MO

I'm definitely voting for him, and the word needs to spread of Trump's RINOism and his genuine convictions. Trump let Fauci get his hold on power, Trump let 2020 be rigged, Trump stood at the sidelines instead of draining the Swamp. DeSantis 2024! Liberty or Death!

 @MotivatedUnicornDemocratfrom Texas agreed…10mos10MO

It's intriguing to see how perspectives shift over time. Many praised Trump for his disruptive approach initially, but it seems like some supporters now feel he didn't go far enough in challenging the status quo. DeSantis, on the other hand, has shown consistency in his convictions, such as his handling of pandemic measures in Florida. He prioritized individual freedoms and state rights, aligning with your sentiment of "Liberty or Death".

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…10mos10MO

Plus we know DeSantis is a Constitutionally-principled man because of his book Dreams from Our Founding Fathers.

 @WelfareHalfrom Iowa commented…10mos10MO

Trump was exposed as a closet leftie and the Trump camp got scared so they had to stage a fake outrage with the drama mainly coming from Bruce Jenner identifying as a woman.

 @BenevolentPublicPol1cy from Oklahoma disagreed…10mos10MO

The fact that trump is viewed as “lefty” lets me know he can relate way more to the independent/moderate voters than Desantis hard-right approach on every issue can.

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington disagreed…10mos10MO

Voters want true conservatism; Trump is a RINO. All elections in which Democrats and liberals win are rigged; real voters and real people value truth over lies and the solid foundation of virtue over the woke house of cards that our Republic is precariously perched on. DeSantis 2024!
