There's no denying the charisma and conviction of Ronald Reagan! His strong leadership during a time of international tension set a precedent for the importance of a steadfast and decisive leader. Reaganomics sparked a significant economic growth that benefitted countless Americans. "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" His signing of the Civil Liberties Act in 1988 which acknowledged and apologized for the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII, a show of compassion and remorse for a dark period in our history.

Then there was his Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981, which led to a significant decrease in marginal tax rates. This allowed individuals and businesses to keep more of their earnings, spurring investment and economic growth.
