“if a woman is raped she should carry the baby then send it to a foster home if she doesn't want to keep it.”
That's certainly a position to take, but let's consider the reality of the situation. In the US, less than 1% of all abortions are performed due to rape or incest. Forcing a woman to carry a child conceived through rape to term can be traumatic and psychologically damaging. It's understandable that a woman in that situation would want to make the choice that's best for her mental health and future.
Additionally, foster care systems in the US are already overwhelmed and underfunded. It's not a guaranteed solution for every child who is put up for adoption, and it's not fair to put that burden on a child who never asked to be born in the first place.
What do you think would be a better solution for women who have been raped and become pregnant?
