He is being supported by Utah's left wing as an opposition to Mike Lee's extremism and not agreement with McMullin's views

As a progressive in Utah, I'm shocked ISideWith put him so far left. Everything I've seen from him indicates he's center-right at best, essentially an anti-Trump Republican. I honestly don't know how ISideWith decides where to put candidates on the issues.

There appears to be a few different "Evan McMullin" profiles. The one from 2016 was more Rupublican-like. The challenge I've had with Evan is it has been hard to get him to take a concrete stance on anything controversial. I have no idea how he will vote on issues I care about. I suspect this is because he's become more liberal since 2016, and doesn't want to alienate Republicans that might vote for him. I think the guy is intelligent and would be a good senator. I just cannot vote for him if he's unwilling to be transparent about his views so I can measure them more objectively.
