You believe that minimal government intervention in the economy leads to increased individual freedom, innovation, and overall prosperity.
Laissez-faire capitalism is a political ideology that advocates for minimal government intervention in the economy. The term "laissez-faire" is French and translates to "let do" or "let go," which encapsulates the ideology's belief in allowing the market to operate freely without interference. This ideology is rooted in the belief that the natural forces of supply and demand are the best determinants of economic growth and prosperity. It posits that when individuals are left to their own devices, they will act in their own self-interest, leading to competi…

How would the dynamics of your local community change if all public spaces were privately owned?
@9L39YFV2mos2MO
Way less regulations, I think that in some cases there are too many restrictions.
@9L39XDR2mos2MO
I wouldn't have free places to go with my family and friends and sports leagues for kids would be harder.
Less socialization, interaction, and community building.
@9L3B8WFRepublican2mos2MO
I believe that it would be harder to go places for free making it harder to create plans.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
What personal values would guide your decisions if society operated on the principle of 'every individual for themselves'?
@9KHV2XY2mos2MO
Laissez-Faire is a poor way of running your country. People often struggle climbing the rungs of the economical latter we've created in this country. The system of Laissez-Faire is designed to let the people do what they need to succeed and work coherently together, people are having to pull themselves from the bootstraps to survive in this country. Laissez-Faire could have worked then but in the new day of age, people need help.
@9KHRPV8Peace and Freedom2mos2MO
Laissez-faire capitalism is characterized by a lack of government regulation and oversight in the market. According to economists who espouse laissez-faire, the market will determine the best products, prices, and wages without governmental interference. In the decades after the American Revolution, this economic approach gained prominence and became the main policy during America's Gilded Age in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Laissez-faire is frequently credited with bringing about the Industrial revolution and the American Titans of Industry, while also spurring the government oversight and regulation that still exists today.

I would live off the land with my own small civilization and keep away from any govt.

How important is equal access to opportunities in your vision of a successful society?
I believe that equal access to opportunities doesn’t exist, everyone grows up differently and has different outcomes. However that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve the same thing as someone who has more money. It’s all about determination.
@9KVLK542mos2MO
Equal access to opportunities would mean an increase in competition between others. This, however, is very important and beneficial to society, as it would also increase economic growth and societal progress.
@9KV2S9C2mos2MO
Equal access to opportunities is very crucial for a successful society.
@9KV2DFP2mos2MO
Equal access to opportunities is something very important however, it is unattainable since there is no agreeing on what qualifies as equal access or not.

With no mandatory minimum wage, how would you negotiate your worth with potential employers?
@9LBQSXY1mo1MO
I would discuss my qualifications and how they set me apart from other potential applications, build a strong resume, and learn how to share my skillets.
@9LBTD6M1mo1MO
When determining how much you get paid, it's important to show your employer that you have the experience to do a good job in a position. You should also get paid based on how good you are at your job because it brings productivity and profit to a business.
@9LBLNH31mo1MO
Experience in the field, education, quality of work
@9LBLJRTRepublican1mo1MO
I would say my worth and give a good reason as to why I believe I should be negotiating about it.

Is it possible for an economy to be truly free, or are some restrictions necessary to protect workers and consumers?
@9H5BMLF6mos6MO
There are some restrictions that are necessary to protect workers and consumers. A economy will fall without certain restrictions therefore it is neccesary to implement some basic boundary structure.
@9H5B27F6mos6MO
There are restrictions to protect the workwr and consumg.
@9H5B5856mos6MO
Some restrictions necessary to protect workers and consumers
No, an economy cannot be truly free; some restrictions are necessary to protect workers and consumers. We must have laws and regulations in our government to keep peace and order in our lives. We need some type of regulation to keep our country from becoming chaos.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
If given the option, would you choose job and financial freedoms over guaranteed government services and why?
@9KF5CKGIndependent2mos2MO
I would choose a job because i can make friends and meet new people.
@9KF436S2mos2MO
I would choose guaranteed government services as it would help middle to lower class workers.
@9KF42X32mos2MO
I would choose guaranteed government services as it would help middle to lower class workers.

How do you anticipate the impact on your daily life if public services like transportation ran entirely under private companies?
@9HYKXYY4mos4MO
I don’t use public transportation so I’m unaffected directly
@9HYKKR2 4mos4MO
It would be far more expensive, the practices would be more predatory due to a profit motive, and overall it would be much like the medical system of the U.S. (aka the biggest example of why privatization causes massive problems in industries that should stay public/are public in most locations.)
@9HYKH8D4mos4MO
It would be more calm when going shopping because most private companies work online.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How would no government oversight over media and internet services affect the information you receive?
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
Is it fair for people to keep all the money they earn, regardless of economic inequalities that might arise?
@9HF76QWIndependent5mos5MO
I believe increasing taxes on the rich as well as increasing taxes on luxury goods. The middle class and lower income families should have decreased taxes as current inflation and living expenses are currently detrimental to the middle and lower classes at this time.
@9HF763M5mos5MO
Yes, it is fair for people to keep the money they earn. Taxation is simply left by force of government.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Imagine a world without subsidies for industries like farming; how would it influence what you eat?
@9HJVPL7Republican5mos5MO
This would influence things we consume on a daily basis. We get milk, eggs, meat, etc. from farms and it would change the way we eat. Not to mention the prices for those items would skyrocket due to the decrease in production.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
In an entirely free-market system, who should be responsible for helping those who cannot compete successfully—the individual or society?
@ISIDEWITH1mo1MO
Would you prefer a job market that offers boundless opportunity, but with high risk, or stability with limited room for advancement?
@9L8J2KY1mo1MO
I would prefer a job that will keep me happy, give me the money I need to live on my own and be able to be financially stable in the American economy. In my mind I would like a boundless opportunity with a high risk job but living in America the risk could be from losing some money to not having a house to call home. You would be forced to choose a stable job with limited room for advancement.
@9L8J2J21mo1MO
stability with limited room because with the high risk we could all lose it all in a minute and it would be very hard to work back up.
@ISIDEWITH1mo1MO
