When was a time you felt particularly proud or conflicted about your nation's stance on religious matters?

 @9KZV3DTRepublican from Tennessee answered…2mos2MO

America needs to return to its roots as a God fearing country based upon Biblical truth and values. We are going in the wrong direction and need Jesus.

 @9L3GZ9KDemocrat from Missouri disagreed…2mos2MO

People of all different religions live in America, and we need to respect them all equally, not just Christianity.

 @9L62F22agreed…1mo1MO

Religious matters shouldn't be hated on, because one believes in something different, doesn't mean it's right or wrong.

 @9KZVSDWWomen’s Equality from Ohio answered…2mos2MO

I can't recall a time I have yet, but I will when people start to realize and come to terms with the fact that everyone has their own beliefs and we should all try to accept them for who they are and live in contentment with one another.

 @9LCF4MY from Colorado answered…1mo1MO

Believers and non-believers of every kind can get along as long as they obey the laws of the land. Some beliefs foster social harmony but others are divisive.

What are the benefits and challenges of having a collective religious identity in a multicultural society?

 @9LH6P78 from Minnesota answered…4wks4W

I think it would be a benefit because then there would be more people around you supporting your ideas. A challenge would be that that isn't how the world works and that wouldn't be possible in places like the US.

 @9LHYVMG from Arizona disagreed…4wks4W

The United States should embrace a multi-cultural identity, since the beginning of the colonization of America, The United States has always fought for religious freedom.

Much like the United States laws until about 50 years ago, I would hope that laws would be based on the morale code established in the Bible.

How would your daily life change if religious practices became more integrated with governmental policies?

 @9HW659SDemocrat from Oregon answered…4mos4MO

i feel like coupling religious practices with governmental policies would force religion on people

 @9HW5NWP  from New Jersey answered…4mos4MO

I agree with a person's beliefs if we allow others to not be forced into believing them. The same goes for those LGBTQ, I believe that people should not be forced to agree with religion (while letting others believe their religion), as long as there is respect, you don't have to agree with me being gay or trans, as long as I can still participate in religion or transitioning as I please individually for my life, then it's okay.

 @9HW69FKRepublican from Ohio answered…4mos4MO

My life would not change because I am not a very religious person

 @9J2DG4H from Indiana disagreed…4mos4MO

i am christian, this is not a part of my religious belief that integrated with governmental policies.

How would your personal goals align or conflict within a society influenced by a dominant religious ideology?

 @9LDR4TR from Louisiana answered…1mo1MO

I want to be the best soccer player one day and there are many regions that have many fans.

 @9LDR4B2 answered…1mo1MO

I believe that society should be open to all religions allowing every individual to practice their own beliefs and not be forced by a dominant religious ideology thus the topic of nationalist Islamism goes against my personal values.

 @8Z5SKCG  from Alabama commented…1mo1MO

It depends on the religion and the nation. If I was born in Iran and raised Muslim, I would see by society be heavily influenced and shaped by Sharia Law. But in the United States where we allow freedom of worship, we also have to recognize that our nation was shaped around a Christian idealogue, and those who conform and understand that have usually had the biggest impact in shaping our nation.

No because those with other beliefs will be unable to take part in these standards. We are a free country and should be representing all not just adjusting our lives for some. We can be influenced but maybe not fully adapt unless the people of that country have a say.
