Yes, create a simple path to citizenship for immigrants with no criminal record, who have been in the U.S. for 7 years or more, and have worked while paying taxes. Most immigrants such as described have built roots in communities and have families. As long as these families are self-sustaining, upstanding citizens, allow them to be sworn in as American citizens.
I understand some will disagree. I am a bit conflicted myself wondering if there should be some type of consequences for living in the U.S. illegally. On the other hand, they have been living on a sort of self-imposed probation the entire time they've resided in the country. In my opinion, if their background check is clean, especially in a sanctuary city or state, welcome them to America.
