Hate Speech should be protected by the First Amendment, so long as it does not incite violence or threat harm against others, and as long as it does not put other people in danger. I also do not trust the government to define the boundaries of hate speech, as laws are very definitive and what can and cannot be considered 'hate speech' varies from person to person.
