Proposed action against “critical race theory” is generally aimed against discussion of racism in education. So my answer is basically if we are talking about critical race theory as it’s defined in academia this is a nonissue but I absolutely support addressing racism through curriculum created for K-12 students such as the 1619 project. However attempts to “ban” critical race theory tend to be broadly applied so as to censor discussions of race in K-12 education in general so I am opposed to those efforts.
