But the amount of time should be dependent on the reason for the leave. But it’s up to the individual company on if they want to offer paid or unpaid leave. It would be nice if they offered full paid leave up to a certain time then lowered the amount of pay after a certain time before going completely to unpaid leave. But there would need to be a maximum on how long a person can also take that leave for.
