There is. You can help stop mass shootings while also not getting your 2nd ammendment rights violated. For example passing better background checks that also check your local police department database. When it comes to mental health stuff thats tricky. The biggest thing is HIPPA. The second biggest thing is any mass shooter can just lie on those evaluations, so its not some foolproof method that people think it is.
