Should the federal government increase funding of health care for low income individuals (Medicaid)?
With the current setup of how people are being billed with any and all medical expenses, access to Medicaid is essential for senior citizens unable to retire, the disabled who are able to minimally work, and the disabled unable to work any type of job. and any others that meet the income requirements. But there are still those that struggle to make ends meet from simple injuries and surgeries, basic self-care checkups and medicine needed to simply live. The entire way healthcare is billed needs an overhaul. Government should not be involved in the controlling aspects of who gets what care, as every individual has different needs. If the government has any involvement, it should be to ensure that laws are effective to guarantee access to the same level of care they would expect for themselves.
