No, spending life in prison is a much harsher sentence, but if the person was a mass killer with no mental illnesses and has undeniable evidence proving them guilty, then the death sentence is acceptable. But people with a life in prison sentence should be released when they become at least 75 years of age/too elderly to do anything awful again.
