Not everyone needs this; the notion of "free" services is a non-sequitor. It still costs time, resources, and money to provide any service. The benefit of an insurance plan facilitated contraceptive coverage option is to leverage the pricepoint negotiating power of the insurance provider to drive down costs of product, not to force people who have no need for contraception to subsidize those that do. To that end, the policy should be available-- that could be mandated-- along with a mandate that the pricing cannot be onerous. It should not, however, be subsidized by non-recipients, nor should it be mandated to be a component of all policies.
