The overtime rate should kick in immediately at 40 hours for persons making less than the 46k per year. Persons making between 46k and 75k should get overtime pay at 45 hours in a 7 day week, and in excess of 75k only considering overtime hours in excess of 50 hours per 7 day week. Or, instead of apply the cap based on hours worked, use a progressive overtime scale instead for all hours worked over 40 based on salary ranges (I.E. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 1.4,.... times the hourly rate for each increment over 40)
