How would your outlook on conflicts change if world leaders solved disputes like your favourite teacher resolves classroom disagreements?

 @9JSDXZ3 from New Hampshire answered…3mos3MO

I would be less concerned about the danger to those who are not and should not be involved in the conflic

 @9JVMHDHRepublican from Idaho agreed…3mos3MO

Because it is such a small class compared to worldly involvements it would be nice to just pick out the bad guys and put them in timeout but it is just not that simple

 @88YT2FZ  from California answered…3mos3MO

The world political stage is not a classroom. This is an inaccurate and overly simplistic comparison. There are far more factors involved than a simple classroom debate/argument would involve. Primarily among them, everyone (or almost everyone) in that classroom grew up in the same nation, with the same language, familiar cultures, and known ideologies. This is absolutely not true on the world stage.

 @9JSDYPWDemocrat from Nevada answered…3mos3MO

I think the U.S and other countries would be able to resolve conflict in a peaceful manner if they dealt with disagreement the way my teacher would

 @9JSDYL3from Maine answered…3mos3MO

I think that everything would be more calm for a while and nothing new would come up Yk. Like they’re wouldn’t be the same conflict over and over.

What actions do you think young people can take to foster a culture of peace in their daily lives?

 @9JL6RRC from Alabama answered…3mos3MO

Their parents should teach them to be polite, mind their own business, and follow the non-agression principle.

 @9JLQNTL from Pennsylvania agreed…3mos3MO

Because if I teach my child to mind their own business and to be polite they will be less likely to be picked on or in trouble most definitely in somebody's business.

 @9JL7FF4 from North Carolina answered…3mos3MO

Young people can foster peaceful ideas in today's society by advocating for peace treaties and meetings between political representatives before resorting to war.

How would you handle a situation where you're being physically threatened, without resorting to violence?

  @8RQ55J4  from Nebraska answered…5mos5MO

Its okay to use violence for defence of self or others but only then

  @TruthHurts101 from Washington commented…5mos5MO

And you do not believe that there have been wars, such as WWII where Hitler tried to exterminate the entire Jewish people and take over the world, where self-defence is precisely what a declaration of war was issued in the spirit of?

 @9H7B6T3 from North Carolina answered…5mos5MO

I would try to talk to the person as best I could and try to get help from others around or others that I can contact.

 @9H7B234 from Washington answered…5mos5MO

Evidence and witnesses of an individual that has experienced repeated incidences of physical or verbal abuse who has remained a pacifist under such circumstances should be provided protection services without a fee.

In what ways could leaders of countries learn from conflicts you've resolved peacefully in your own life?

 @9HVHBXS from California answered…4mos4MO

 @9HVHBF7 from Minnesota answered…4mos4MO

 @9HVWXWB from Ohio answered…4mos4MO

They could learn that peace is only attainable through understanding.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

Precisely, understanding the opposition gives you both the power to beat them, and to create peace with them.

 @9HVHNLT from Georgia answered…4mos4MO

leaders of countries could put others needs before theirs and learn to stop being greedy when it comes to wanting more .

 @ISIDEWITHasked…4mos4MO

What would your ideal peaceful world look like, and how far do you think we are from achieving it?

 @9HXC8R2Women’s Equality from Virginia answered…4mos4MO

My ideal peaceful world would be everyone is equal. What I mean by that is we all get paid the same for doing the same job, we all get the same punishment for the same crime, etc. I feel like everyone in the world is misunderstood because we don't take the time to try and understand each other. So that could also be a start.

 @9HXCBXB from West Virginia answered…4mos4MO

 @9HXDBFL from California answered…4mos4MO

A peaceful world would not be dictated by religion, skin color, or financial standing. All countries would have no need for a large military, and would instead focus on other advancements such as cancer, space exploration, global warming, and poverty.

unfortunately, I think there will never be peace by these means. The only "peace" the world will ever see will most likely be filled with tension as one world power will try to hold the power, while another will attempt to rise up and take its place.

 @9HXCCY4answered…4mos4MO

A peaceful would be when there is no longer any wars or major disagreements that can lead to wars like a terrorist attack or an assassination.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

Do you think a world without any military forces could exist peacefully, or would it invite chaos?

 @9H7ZZ7N from California answered…5mos5MO

I believe that even with military forces not existing there will still be chaos as its in our human nature to want more which is exactlty why we have wars and cant really be peaceful.

 @9H829YD from South Carolina answered…5mos5MO

it would involve chaos because it would allow other countries to invade others

 @9H7ZZZYDemocrat from North Carolina answered…5mos5MO

Chaos because there would be no threat to terrorists or organizations who cause harm to dissuade them from causing harm to people.

How do you approach conversations with people who have drastically different viewpoints to avoid conflict?

 @9HZBT3H from Florida answered…4mos4MO

I like to be agreeable, but if their stance goes against my morals, I will listen but probably not change my viewpoint. When they don't have logos in their point, I will listen, but I don't respond well with pathos.

 @9HZBKRX from California answered…4mos4MO

To not say anything but understand that everyone has opinions and not everyone will agree on everything.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How can we create a culture where nonviolent approaches are valued and promoted in schools and communities?

 @9HDNCR5 from Wyoming answered…5mos5MO

I feel like violence comes from the homes and bad parenting we need to teach our kids good character and the right and wrong acts of life.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

What role do you feel compassion plays in resolving conflicts, and how do you practice it?

 @9KCYKZR from California answered…2mos2MO

Peaceful protests that are forcefully ended with violence are a testament to who is more mature.

 @9KCYDD3answered…2mos2MO

Things that resolve conflicts is not to get involved and just to do your own thing but if you get dragged into conflict, the best way to resolve it is to not make it worse by arguing or threatening.
