I think it is disrespectful to those those who fought for this country and are fighting for this country right now

 @9FF84MWPeace and Freedom from Indiana agreed…6mos6MO

Burning the flag is more than making a statement. It is the utter disrespect and disregard to those who have fought to raise that flag. When you burn the American flag, it shows that you only want to make a statement because there are so many other things you could do to show dissatisfaction. Burning the flag disgraces the whole country, not just what ever political statement you argue over.

 @9F4SZM8 from Texas disagreed…7mos7MO

If you do not care about your country and its pride, there are plenty of people who will. Go live in another country and see how you like it.

 @9GVBJ67 from Indiana agreed…5mos5MO

It's saying about how if you don't care about your country, then leave it and go to another country you love more and America.

 @9GGRRMB from West Virginia disagreed…5mos5MO

people should not burn the american flag because people fought and died so you could live in peace and have freedom people died protecting america and that flag so you should not be allowed to burn it that would be disrespectful to all the people who died so you could have freedom

 @9FD6DJJRepublican from Pennsylvania disagreed…6mos6MO

it symbolizes the country that we all live in, whether or not its run the way you want it to doesn't give you the right to destroy the symbol of the country you live in

 @9G3CYS9Republican from Missouri disagreed…6mos6MO

It is not simply just a piece of cloth. It represents all of what this country has fought for throughout several decades. This flag represents freedom. . If one were to burn this flag, it would be the largest form of disrespect and brutality towards our country. Men and women fight and have fought for centuries for us to be able to live a free life. It is a symbol of our democracy, our freedom, and our patriotism.

 @9G9XX2L from Texas disagreed…5mos5MO

It is not just a piece of cloth it's a piece of cloth me serve and fight for. We have always fought for it and it means everything to us. It's not just a flag it's a symbol of who we are.

 @9G3TTR2 from New York disagreed…6mos6MO

The men who fought for this country have sacrificed so much just for a single person who does not care all too much to just throw away what they gave us. The freedom, the power, the joy, etc.

 @9FX32YK from Indiana disagreed…6mos6MO

Why would you burn the thing that so many young men and women fought to protect how many lives where lost so you can live in peace.

 @9GX8VWT from Illinois disagreed…5mos5MO

The flag represents the deaths of the men and women that served to give you the freedom to be an idiot and disrespect their sacrifice. If you burn the flag you are saying “yes you died for me to be able to act the way I am, and have my freedoms, but screw you I’m going to do what I want because I’m immature.”

 @9GS2CWX from Texas disagreed…5mos5MO

Hundreds of both men and women died fighting for that flag, so treat it worth the respect it deserves.

 @9GKF5VYRepublican from Tennessee disagreed…5mos5MO

The flag is a symbol of our country, that I am proud to be apart of. They are basically spitting on those who have fought for our country.

 @9GFNXS2 from North Dakota disagreed…5mos5MO

I think it is rude. Because the people that fought for our country are honored by the flag and burning it is just really disrespectful to everyone that served and our country.

No burnig the flag is wrong. It should ever burn the flag. If you don't like the Country you live in, then leave. Burning our flag and stomping on it is a terrible thing. It should never be allowed. People died to protect the country you live in todayit symbolizes the country that we all live in, whether or not its run the way you want it to doesn't give you the right to destroy the symbol of the country you live in.

The flag represents the men and women who fought to give this country it's freedom. If you have the decency to burn the flag, you definitely have the decency to leave this country if you dislike it so much.

 @9G43LXM from California disagreed…6mos6MO

It is the american flag. People fought for this country for years so we have what he have now. They created that flag as a symbol. if you dont like this country enough to burn the flag than why are you here. that is disrepectful.

 @9FBR43S from Pennsylvania disagreed…7mos7MO

There are many people who have fought and died for that flag. That flag represents blood, sweat, tears that many have shed for that flag. It would be a dishonor to those who have fought to burn the flag.

 @9F9NYZV from Washington disagreed…7mos7MO

Our founding fathers created that symbol you call a piece of cloth to unite against an unjust ruler so you can sit at home and watch whatever or go to church on Sundays

 @9GQPTKW from Virginia disagreed…5mos5MO

It represents every single person who lay dead or wounded fighting for this country and keeping us safe. It is NOT just a piece of cloth.

 @9GQKGGV from Indiana disagreed…5mos5MO

Its more than just cloth, its all of the troops that have died for our country, all the people who risk their lives every day and all the people who sacrifice themselves every day.

 @9G7ZJDS from Michigan disagreed…5mos5MO

Many people have served our country and the flag is a symbol of respect to our country and our military so It deserves respect.

It stands for much more noble things than just the country itself, such as its beginnings and those who have died to protected the country, and burning it is disrespectful to them.

 @9G2N2LBdisagreed…6mos6MO

burning the symbol of our country is laterally abuse to our whole country and your showing you wish not to be here

 @9GYQJ9S from Minnesota disagreed…4mos4MO

The flag represents our country, and if you want to burn it you should be deported from the country, I dont care if you were born here, or where you get sent to, but you shouldn't be allowed to be here anymore.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…4mos4MO

So you are against freedom of speech and freedom of protest? Sounds like you are the unAmerican one here...

 @9GKP4X2Republican from Ohio disagreed…5mos5MO

It is a piece of cloth that represents our freedom and what was done to fight for that freedom and should be respected

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…5mos5MO

Then burning a pride flag, which represents the acknowledgement and equality of a large group of people, should also be against the law?

 @9GZQ465 from New York disagreed…4mos4MO

It symbolizes the freedom that we work to maintain and that the military fights to protect every day. If they truly believe it's just a piece of cloth, they shouldn't mind people burning pride flags and black lives matter flags.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas commented…4mos4MO

You are free to burn those too I guess, but you're probably still just homophobic/racist anyway, which is bad.

 @9FCTPHD from California disagreed…6mos6MO

The Flag represents freedom to the world and if you don't respect that then you don't know what it means to be an American.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…6mos6MO

To many it’s a symbol of colonialism, and America has long soiled its reputation in front of the world. America stands for its own freedom in the majority of conflicts, while it does often side with the right side, we have a long history of messing with other nations for our own gain.

 @9JS86NZ from Illinois disagreed…2mos2MO

You should not be able to burn the flag because that symbolizes our country and that we are a free country.

 @9HW2HP8Republican from South Carolina disagreed…3mos3MO

The American Flag is made out of cloth, and that piece of cloth represents our freedom of our country.

It is more than a flag, people fought for our freedom, and for them to discredit the flag is a stab in the back.

 @9F72CLX from Iowa disagreed…7mos7MO

I see it extremely disrespectful to burn our countries flag and I believe if you feel the need to do so you should move somewhere else.

 @9F56FS4 from Indiana disagreed…7mos7MO

It is not just a piece of cloth. It is a cloth that we carried for centuries as we fought for our country, fought for our rights, as we fought to make things better for America and become independent. It is so much more than "just a piece of cloth". It is who we are and represents our home.
