Should the Governor be required to replace the Attorney General or Comptroller with a member of the same political party?

Yes

This Constitutional Amendment will change the way the Governor fills vacancies to the Attorney General or State Comptroller positions. Under the current law the governor fills vacancies for those positions by appointing an individual top serve the remainder of the term. This proposed amendment will require the governor to fill the vacancy from a list of three names provided by the political party of the vacating attorney general or comptroller.
