Vaccinations for public schools should be mandatory, however the Federal and State governments should not enforce vaccines for everyone.

Most preventable diseases among children originate from their interactions with others in school; public schools should require that the safety of their students is guaranteed before a student is allowed to enroll.

The data is clear that vaccines are an effective measure to guard against communicable diseases and side effects are very rare. While I generally support people's rights to make decisions for themselves, communicable diseases are a more nuanced case, as the choice not to vaccinate increases the risk to the others around you. Others have the right to attend public spaces like school in a way where they can be confident that those around them are doing what they can to prevent bringing deadly diseases into the mix.

People dont trust the government and dont trust what they tell them to put in their body hence the vaccinations so they might be hesitant but I think the kids should definitely be vaccinated only because their immune system is so vulnerable.

Im am a highschool student that goes to a highschool with a lot of different types of students that some have health issues. People should not be made to take any vaccinations for any type of sicknesses, becuase its there body and there choice. Plus the risk of a child from dying from covid is rare, unless you have a crutal health issues, which in most cases that child should understand and be taught on how to cope and mannage with there health responsabilities. If you are a student that is worried about someone getting sick becuase of a student in school having covid and spreading it, then…  Read more

Children interact with each other at school everyday for almost 6-8 hours a day. Contagious diseases can spread rapidly through schools and to maintain the well being of all children--who are generally not as capable of dealing with sickness as adults--children should be vaccinated to attend public school.

I don't have a strong opinion on this although I feel as it is recommended, but it all boils down to one's own decision.

 @9G4GHBSGreen from Kansas agreed…6mos6MO

I think It's important to give people ultimatums instead of force. You can fail to get vaccinated, but you give up your spot in public facilities, for everyone's safety.

 @9GRZJPZ from Texas agreed…5mos5MO

The vaccinations are not always helpful even with a vaccination they can still catch what is going around and can still carry it to give to other children. We can instead do the right thing and wear our masks until most have been vaccinated and there are less cases.

Not every person is going to be able to fight off the same antibodies people get when they are sick.

Public schools are a common place for diseases and sickness to spread. If you don't want to vaccinate your kids then the government, as long as it is funding public schools, should give you a voucher to take your kids to a private school with policies you agree with.

 @9H582MH from Illinois agreed…4mos4MO

Being Anti-Vaccination is a personal choice for a parent to make. But those who do make that choice should understand that it comes with a cost and should not endanger other children because of their own decisions.

It has been shown that mandatory COVID vaccines have been effective in reducing COVID rates, showing as to how requiring vaccines such as this one can be beneficial in preserving the health of individuals in school environments.

 @9FJDLB3 from Tennessee disagreed…6mos6MO

The government does not have the right to violate my freedom of choice and what vaccinations go into my body.

 @9GFZW96 from New York agreed…5mos5MO

I would may provide to understand that vaccines can only cure you when you have a virus or COVID-19 inside your body.

 @9G8FYBL  from Texas agreed…5mos5MO

By the time they’re in public school how would it even be possible for them to “be come autistic” like wtf

 @9BGNQYD from Arkansas commented…11mos11MO

I'm a high school teacher, and I would agree with you EXCEPT there are diseases that have been eradicated (measles to be specific) that now have come back with a vengeance because people don't want to vaccinate their children for one reason or another. You may be fine and come out on top, but what if you give it to someone else? These diseases are 99% preventable. It's only "my body, my choice" unless we're talking about communicable and contagious diseases... in which case it doesn't only affect your body.
